A timid girl, broken by her past ex-fiancé and maid Of honour caught together on the night of her rehearsal dinner, goes for a run on the beach and literally ends up having sex with a stranger. Wild. Never thinking she'll meet him again, yet he can't get her out of his mind. So 3 months later when she is working for him in New York City, the cat and mouse chase is on. The story of the lovely Fate and "I don't do relationships" Dean is a great one.
I hate cheaters so this starts off with a broken-hearted Fate rebounding on a one night stand with Dean, who later turns out to be her boss. Dean was your typical playboy alpha with the commitment issues, although he did try to find Fate after their fling. He doesn't realise his true feelings for her so it's one of those tooing & froughing type of tales.
While the previous book Last Second Chance focused on the actual centre this one only makes mention of it as Fates mum is there fighting her addiction. So it can be read as a standalone. However it seems bk3 deals with Miranda & Jesses story. So,it would be an advantage to read bk1 then.
