Product Description

Jennifer L. Armentrout, New York Times bestselling author of the Wait for You series, delivers a new novel of first love, second chances, and scorching chemistry.

Eleven months ago, bartender and weird-shirt-wearing extraordinaire
Roxy and Officer Reece Anders had a one night stand. Well, kind of.
She's been in love with him since she was fifteen, and he wishes that
night they shared never happened. She's sworn him off forever, but the
past and future collide, forcing her to rely on the one man who broke
her heart not once, but twice.
Her best friend since birth has been in a long-term care facility
since he became a victim of a hate crime years ago, and the person who
put him in there is out of prison and wanting to make amends with him
and Roxy. She's not sure she has room for forgiveness in her and when
she begins to receive frightening messages and is on the receiving end
of escalating violence, she thinks she knows who is to blame. The man
who already destroyed one life already.

But Reece isn't convinced. The threats are too personal, and even if
Roxy doesn't believe him, he's not willing to let anyone hurt her.
Including himself. He's already messed up more than once when it comes
to Roxy and he's not going to let history repeat itself.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed 5 April 2015

*Contains Minor Spoiler*
This is not my favorite JLA book at all. In fact, I'm really disappointed in it. Roxy was supposed to be cute, quirky, a tad naive and independent. She is truly childish, selfish and stupid. I hate to think that of the heroine or protagonist but it's the only feelings I walked away with. I did not enjoy her at all and there was not enough character development for Reese, IMO. So little, that I truly didn't care if these two ended up together or not.
It won't stop me from buying anymore of her books but it certainly put me off books for a few days.
One thing that had me rolling my eyes were the instances in her apartment. How many times did she think something was wrong and didn't do a thing about it? Just chalked it up to her apt being "haunted" in a facetious way. Completely stupid. Then there was the incident with the cell phone. Call me crazy but if a stalker is seconds from leaving your home when you wake up, call the police. Don't scroll through your contacts wondering who to call first. Stupid doesn't begin to cover it. I can't even list the many little things that irritated me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect mix of steam, romance, emotion, and suspense 1 April 2015
By Misha - Published on

Jennifer Armentrout’s Wait for You series is one of my favorite New Adult series. I love how all the books are connected together by reoccurring secondary characters, but each story still has a unique feel to it. Roxy and Reese’s story was different than I had expected, which made it even more enjoyable. Fall with Me was the perfect mix of steam, romance, emotion, and suspense. I was intrigued by what we saw of Roxy and Reese in Stay with Me and looked forward to seeing why Roxy was so intent on avoiding Reese. What I didn’t count on was Armentrout breaking my heart in the process with a story of friendship and the pain and guilt of regret.

Roxy has been in love with Officer Reese Anders since she was 15 years old. They had a one-night stand almost a year ago, but Reese made it clear he wished that night never happened. Hurt by Reese’s apparent dismissal of their time together, Roxy does her best to distance herself from him. Suddenly she begins to receive scary messages that make her worry about her safety. Believing it is the man who ruined her best friend’s life and is currently looking for forgiveness, Roxy reluctantly involves the man who broke her heart. Reese is determined to keep Roxy safe at all costs, as well as set the record straight about their past and future together.

Probably since Armentrout is an auto-buy author for me, I realized after I had started Fall with Me that I had never actually read the synopsis and knew what had happened to Roxy’s friend. That first chapter hit me hard. Roxy’s anguish and guilt were palpable. Although as a reader I never held her at fault, I think that if I were in her shoes I would have felt the same way she did. Despite her self-blame, Roxy was a dedicated and loving friend. It was clear during her weekly visits how much she adored Charlie, and how difficult it was seeing him as a shadow of his former self. I was rooting for her to find a way to forgive herself.

I adored Roxy’s wit and quirky attitude, not to mention her awesome t-shirts. It made me laugh every time she attempted to avoid Reese because that man who was not going to let her get away without setting the record straight. I appreciated how straightforward Reese was with Roxy. He wasn’t interested in playing games. Reese was sexy, dedicated to his job and Roxy, and just an all-around good guy. What I loved the most about him, though, was how he helped Roxy understand that she couldn’t live her life for her friend. He was incredibly supportive and encouraged her to follow her heart and her passion.

Everything was on point with this story. There was great chemistry between Roxy and Reese and a good balance of romance and heat. Roxy’s story tugged at my heart more times than I could count, and I definitely shed some tears. Add in healthy doses of snark, angst, and suspense, and Armentrout knocked it out of the park. I loved the overall message about letting go in the book. Nick was a primary secondary character in this installment, and I enjoyed getting to know him more. I can’t wait to read to his story next. Whenever I am looking for a great book in the New Adult genre, I know I can count on Armentrout.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mystery/suspense spin from JLA 19 August 2015

I love JLA, it's no secret. Whenever she writes a new book, no matter what genre, I am on top of that. Fall With Me is the fourth book in the Wait For You series and I recommend reading the others before reading this one. Roxy is a bartender at Mona's and Reece is a local cop. The two have been family friends since they were teenagers, but Roxy has had a gigantic crush on Reece since she laid eyes on him. About a year ago, the two of them hooked up and Reese was less than enthusiastic about it the morning after, hurting Roxy's feelings. But the truth is, nothing happened that night, but Roxy can't get past Reese's obvious regret. Almost a year later, Reese decides he wants to start over. It's up to Roxy to take the next step.

I really enjoyed this book, it's not my favorite of the series but it still has the JLA touch. And she wasn't using as many annoying phrases as the last book (the low point being "Holy granola bar" in book 3). None of that was in this book and I appreciated it. The suspense story was fairly predictable but it added a bit of a thrill to an already great story. I really want to know more about Henry, who wronged Roxy and her friend Charlie years ago.

Overall, a really great and fun read. I'd write a much classier/better review with images that this book deserves, but I have almost no free time anymore

20% and can't go on another page. Ugh! Where to start? I hate it when author's cut off people's sentences. This has already happened a lot in 20%!!
Huge misunderstanding between H & H that neither one clears up in a years time. So stupid!! I could on a lot over that one. But it's just not worth it. Roxy isn't even a likable character.

Loved Reece and Roxy's story. Love that Calla and Jax were back, so we're the others. I must say I really enjoy Katie the stripper every time she appears.

Roxy and Reece have known each other for a long time. My heart broke for Roxy and the guilt she carried around. It was horrible what her friend went through. I can see why she's afraid to love after being stuck for so many years and after loosing someone she loved.

Reece also has things he has faced in the past that has made him into who he is. He carries some baggage around but he has dealt with it and is still dealing with things. He knows you have you to talk in order to let go.

Loved Roxy's parents and how they are always behind their daughter. They see who Roxy is and her talents. They don't want her to be something she's not. They want their daughter to be happy and do what makes her happy in life.

I love that Reece doesn't give up on Roxy. Roxy is a loyal friend who has never let her friend go or forgotten him. I have to say that who the stalker was wasn't a surprise.

Loved this book. Highly recommend it and this series. Can't wait to read the next book.
