I bought this series of books by Rosie Archer, this obviously being the third, for my Mum who'd recently retired and has a little more time on her hands. She loved reading when she was younger but family and work life meant she had little chance to pick up a book until recently.
So I thought to help her relax and enjoy her spare time, a fiction book or two regarding an era she's very interested in would do just the job. Well as it turned out relaxing was the one thing that didn't happen! She absolutely loved these stories, she told me she laughed, she cried, she went through the whole spectrum of human emotions. She got really attached to the characters and by the end felt like one of the gang.
So hats off to the author for putting my dear old Mum through the emotional wringer! She can't wait for the 4th book to be released.
