Trust me, I’ve bought other latex resistance bands from Amazon before with the flimsy black weave fabric holding the bands and handles together and they wear out and rip off in a week!!! But I’ve noticed right away these flex-i bands are different because the bands are directly wrapped around the links, so I don’t see how anything rips apart when I’m using these. I could instantly feel the difference with the TPE material too - just much more elastic and stretchy than latex. Just higher tech stuff I guess. As an extra note, these don’t smell at all, whereas latex bands I’ve used before all tend to have that latex odour which I find very toxic. Really glad I found out about this TPE stuff. These just overall feel much higher in performance, safer and sturdier. Safe and fun home workout everyone!

I use the Flexi- bands for tethered swimming and they do the job.
I tether the bands in series back to my pool gate and put the ankle straps around my ankles (duh).
PROS
- TPE (according to the seller) is longer lasting and more anti-snap, more UV & water resistant, so good for my use case.
- TPE is non-allergenic. I think I have a mild latex allergy so TPE is good for me.
CONS
- Flex-i ankle bands are inferior quality to Fitlife. Fitlife better quality ankle straps with neoprene liners and better outer woven material.
- Flex-i carabiners are inferior to Fitlife. They are less than half the size and difficult to to clip on and off the buckles.
- Flex-i bands total only up to 45kg resistance, Fitlife provides up to 110kg resistance. Also the Fitlife model labels the resistance rating on the end of the band buckles where Flex-i does not.
BOTTOM LINE
If you don't have latex allergy and are using the resistance bands for exercise then Fitlife provides better quality and value for the extra money than i-Life.
The i-Life bands are adequate and work for my intended use of tethered swimming.
I keep my Fitlife bands for the gym.
(If i-Life want to upgrade their product and address any of the negatives, I'm happy to do another review).
