5.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing, tense, unpredictable - and that's just the central character. 20 March 2017
By Joel - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I dived into this one as soon as it became available, since I'm a confirmed fan of "crazy Amy" from her initial outing in Concealment.
The first point to note is that, although a number of characters from Concealment do reappear in Exposure, there is no need to have read the first book before this one (although you'll probably want to get it once you've finished, simply because they're both great) - the back story is explained clearly and succinctly, without imposing on the narrative.
There's intrigue and suspense galore, and you'll find yourself guessing and second-guessing the characters and the plot constantly. Who is what they appear to be, and who's playing a part in a bigger game? As Amy inches her way towards the truth, haunted by the tatters of her career, the crisis that led to her downfall, and the ever-present voice of little Amy in her head, figuring out who she can trust becomes a matter of life and death, both for Amy and her allies.
As a character, Amy herself is part of the mystery, but in this book even more than in Concealment she begins to learn more about herself and actively try to become the person she wants to be. The writing is lean and economical without sacrificing nuance, all of which adds to the tension. And the plot's so full of twists you could stick a hedge in it and call it the Hampton Court Maze.
All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable book and an easy five stars that just make more all the keener to follow Amy's future adventures.

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant sequel to 'Concealment' 21 March 2017
By Ray Green - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
In this book, Rose Edmunds has created a brilliant sequel to her previous thriller ‘Concealment’.
The principal protagonist, Amy, will be instantly recognizable to those who have read the previous book. She is a complex character: intelligent and feisty, yet mentally unstable and, inside, lacking the veneer of confidence she presents to the world. In this book, she is drawn into a web of intrigue, following the unexpected death of an ex business colleague. Before long she finds herself cast in the role of reluctant sleuth, uncovering murky and illegal business dealings, and in the end, much worse. As she edges closer to discovering the truth, more deaths follow, and it becomes clear that, because of her insistent prying, she too has become a target.
The various sub plots in this fast-paced thriller twist and turn relentlessly, leaving the reader desperate to discover the mysterious links between them. As the story moves towards its conclusion the layers are unpeeled, one by one, and eventually all is revealed in a superbly crafted denouement.
The writing style is typical Rose Edmunds: tight, punchy and accurate with not a trace of padding anywhere. The grammar, phrasing and syntax (which in so many books of today disappoint) are spot-on throughout.
In summary – an outstanding thriller.
4.0 out of 5 stars City high-flyer Amy has crashed and burned. Fresh out ... 26 March 2017
By Julie Smith - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
City high-flyer Amy has crashed and burned. Fresh out of rehab and with her career in tatters, the sudden death of an old friend propels her into an illicit undercover fraud investigation.

But Amy’s in way over her head. The assignment quickly turns sour, pitching her into a nightmare where no one can be trusted and nothing is what it seems.

In mortal danger, and with enemies old and new conspiring against her, Amy’s resilience is tested to the limit as she strives to defeat them and rebuild her life.

Amy still is vulnerable and doesn’t know who to trust. And when she chooses to trust people, she’s still not quite sure whether she’s right. But she knows if she’s wrong she could end up dead. Plenty of tension again and another enjoyable read. 4*
5.0 out of 5 stars You will love Crazy Amy! 16 May 2017
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I love Crazy Amy. It's been a long time since a character so intriguing has come along. She is brilliant, fearless, though often consumed by self-doubt in dangerous situations. When she goes 'underground' to ferret out skulduggery and murder she opens herself up to great risk. The plot Rose Edmunds has created is full of twists and turns that drive the action and kept me turning pages. I finally stayed up until midnight to finish the book. I could not have gone to sleep without knowing the end game.
I recommend this book wholeheartedly as a great read.
