It is a perfect book especially to people whose native language is not English. I have bought many books about these kinds of English Articles, but this is the best -more cases, more examples, and more exceptions.. After reading the first few pages, I have just fallen in love with this book. Then I questioned myself why didn't I come across this book before while searching on Amazon for years. Then I found the answer - This is the first edition and published in 2013. Hope every student who has problem with "A", "An", and "The" will find this book helpful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book on the English articles! 29 May 2014

This is one of the best books I've ever read on the English articles. It is geared toward the intermediate and advanced ESL learners, and deals with many subtle usage of the articles not covered in most English grammar books. The book's abundant exercises very helpfully reinforce the lessons. I hope the author will keep working on this book, to add and explicate more and more "exceptional" usages of this trickiest aspect of English grammar.

5.0 out of 5 stars Should be bought and read for non-native English users 9 January 2016

I am a researcher living in Seoul, Korea. How to use the (I think its OK to use 'the' here) articles was always a struggle when I made a manuscript for a study. This book deserves to be bought and read by non-native English speakers like me.

This is the best book on English articles. I have worked with my English tutors on English articles for some time, but this book has been much more helpful. It lays out different instances very well. This is a truly excellent book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Remarkably Informative Book 18 February 2014
By Topia - Published on Amazon.com

This book is very instructive for learners of English to understand English articles quite easily through intelligible and comprehensive explanations and proper exercises in plain English.

For example:

1.We used to go to 'Ø church' every Sunday [intended purpose].
2.She works in a café near 'a church'
[the listener doesn't know which church building, so I use 'a'].
3.I'll meet you outside 'the church'
[thinking about a church as a building, so a normal noun─you know which church I mean].
