Following the journey of Smudge and Bartholomew as they try and save the Faraway and the Unmapped Kingdoms from Morg.
This was just as delightful as Rumblestar; Abi always manages to build such amazing stories and characters and this was no different. I love Smudge; she was so brave and kind, even when people thought she wasn’t clever. And Barholomew!! The grumpy monkey who stayed out of love and loyalty, not enchantment!
A delightful and exquisite story of how even the smallest and scared people, can go into save the world. If only you believe in yourself.
I loved Smudge and how she deals with the challenges that come her way as she finds herself to be the one who can make a difference or not.
Love the attention to detail that makes this story sound and real and immensely enjoyable.
If you haven't done so, go, get hold of a copy, it doesn't cost much in the World Book 2019 edition and it provides you with so much in such a small amount of words and time and leaves you wanting more, of the main characters, of this world, and no, the story doesn't end, it only just begins.
To marvellous endings that always are beginnings in themselves.
