The initial plot seemed bland and without reason, there are a lot of loose ends and elements and characters thrown into the mix without reason. At the end of the book though it really picked up and gave me more of an insight into the characters and the setting, i have grown the like the female protagonist and hope that i can grow to like Cain.
I do love the brothers characters, especially Abel as he is entirely different to what youd expect from an angel. I will read on through the series as im hoping it will grip me as i imagined and hoped it would.
I loved Abel's character, but felt that Gadara could have been written better. Eve was ok and I found Alec's character to be annoying.
The ending wasn't great and I was disappointed that there wasn't a resolution to what happened in the first chapter as that was part of the reason I kept reading.
I don't feel particularly inclined to read the next book in the series which I think speaks for itself.
Not a series I shall continue with.
