Product Description

Thoughts can take on physical form.

Dr. Albert Snowden and his niece, Emily, never thought they would be able to travel through space and time. Or out of the timeline. Or out of the universe. Or even out of the plane that houses universes.

Yet that is where they find themselves while exploring the origin of Evaran, the mysterious being who rescued them from an alien abduction six months ago. Having to deal with the fact that they are part of a time loop that has not yet been fulfilled is one issue. Learning of another version of Evaran who needs their help in a parallel universe is an additional problem.

Hampering their efforts along the way are the Time Wardens, a hideously intelligent race from the timeline void, who relentlessly hunt any time traveler. Evaran and crew, along with new allies, will try to help the other Evaran while dealing with the Time Wardens and other threats.

If you like science fiction, time travel, and action and adventure, then this book is for you.

I absolutely loved the universe created in the Evaran Chronicles and will miss reading about the adventures in time and space of Albert, Emily, V and Evaran.

This is the 5th evolution of the Evaran tales, and as the title suggests, this is the book that delves into the origins of Evaran. The standard crew are all there, Emily, Dr Snowden and V as they start this adventure.
This book is a little different to the others, it is a lot more in-depth than the others.
The first 4 stories have been at a particular level of complexity, each with a contained story about Evaran and the crew, although the books do flow from one to the other. However, this story is somewhat different in that it was a lot more complex in its discussion of time travel, the other dimensions, and the different planes and planar beings that exist.
The Author spends a large part of the start of the book with the characters having in-depth discussions about these concepts and in some parts it feels like it is quite intense.
Having said that, this is quite necessary to give you the story that is required for the background for the Evaran story, to fully understand who he is, and how he is created and formed. It also gives you a real understanding of several of the other characters in not just this book, but the other books in the series.
In this book, the team are also faced with rescuing Evarans other plane self who has been captured.
I don’t want to give too much away, but this is where the story kind of gets back to a similar feel to the previous books, but there is still a lot of the complexity of the different dimensions and planes.
As I said previously, the usual suspects return, with V, Dr Snowden and Emily, all in fine form. Although this story is about the origins of Evaran, it does continue to explore the other characters, and we do learn more about V and some of his origins also.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Complex storyline, somewhat intense, but always fascinating about the Origins or Evaran. 22 May 2017

There are some rather interesting new characters introduced, and as always, the Authors character work is exceptional, bringing each of her characters to life in unique and interesting ways, whether they be the ones we know and love, or a new planar being that is several thousand years old, but a friend of Evaran, introducing all sorts of interesting concepts to the storyline.
This is real Science-Fiction, with a solid story that has run for 5 books, but wrapped in a complex theory about dimensions, planes, parallel universes and the entities that inhabit or exist between them. Some of this is based on Science, some of it is based on fiction, all of it just makes for a really fascinating story, and gives us the background of Evaran that most have been seeking since we were first introduced to him in The Awakening.
If you are a fan of this series, this is definitely worth the read, but allow some time to get through it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great continuation of the Everan series 29 May 2017

I've throughly enjoyed the Chronicles of Everan series by Adair Hart. This fifth volume continues the saga and ties up a lot of loose ends and answers a lot of questions. Hart manages to weave a tight tale while introducing villians each even more powerful than the last, yet Everan and his crew come up with interesting ways of defeating (or at least sidelining until a later encounter) those who would do harm. Hart also neatly come up with teasers that will be further explored in coming books. Altogether, a fun read.

This was one of his best works to date. He explained a lot of the questions I was concerned about. If you have not read this series you need to start now you will be amazed. Keep them coming can't wait to see what happens next.

Adair is good at explaining concepts that are way above my head. I can't repeat them to anyone but I feel somewhat satisfied with the story. I am saddened by the fates of some of the characters.
