Josh is an architect, with his own company (which he shares with his two brothers) and he's doesn't trust women.
So these two getting together was like walking a mine field. They do have their moments but they also talk about it.
Can't say this was erotic, more a romance but a very well written one.
Hammered: 2 (Erector Set)
This was a good story. I liked Ness and Josh and their story was short but enjoyable. :D
Ness is is high powered VP at a prestigious firm and is a strong woman. While she does well at work, her love life isn't that great. Ness ha s a tendency to only meet A-type personalities at her work and those men don't usually treat her very well. Ness has sworn off relationships and isn't planning to change that even when she encounters a white knight.
Josh is a good guy that has a good job. Unfortunately, Josh and his brothers have done so well in their work that they're now very well off and this has become a problem in Josh's dating. Now days, Josh seems to constantly meet gold diggers that only like him as long as he's buying them gifts and such.
Josh and Ness meet when she believes her new car has been stolen. Josh helps her out and she offers a dinner appointment to say thanks (it's definitely an appointment and not a date). Ness has more problems on the way to their dinner and Josh ends up getting involved and helping her out again. Josh and Ness both have their reservations about seeing each other but the attraction between them is too strong to ignore. Ness is convinced that Josh is a player and wont stick around long. Josh keeps worrying that Ness will start wanting him to buy her things and is waiting for the other shoe to drop. They date but they have definite trust issues that cause them to hold back from each other. There's some drama as they work to get past those issues but Ness and Josh end the story together and starting their HEA.
Overall this was an enjoyable story. I liked the characters and the story was short but worked well for it's length. It was good but not great, still since I got it as a freebie from Amazon I'm not going to complain as it was a good way to fill an hour or 2. :D
