Sawyer Beckett does everything full throttle— he’s fiercely loyal to his friends, always the life of the party and impossible for the parade of women in and out of his bedroom to forget.
Surrounded by true love and happily ever afters, Sawyer's not sure if he's enhancing the what-ifs in his head, or if the goddess on stage that night really is worth the search and nagging in his chest.
At the most inopportune moment possible, Emmett Young comes "skipping" back into his life...and for the first time, Sawyer is the one left wanting more. But Emmett can't give her heart; it's already committed—for life.
The only one strong enough to bring the elusive playboy to his knees is the one he can't have. Luckily, Sawyer Beckett doesn't give up easily.

Mature subject matter and strong sexual content- mature audiences only recommended. Entice can be read as a stand-alone, or following Emerge, Embrace and Entangled; The Evolve Series.

So I waited a while to read this because I've been in love with Sawyer for a while & wasn't sure if I could cope with him falling in love with someone that wasn't me. I finally sucked it up & god it was soooo good.
Sawyer is hifuckinglarious (did I get that right). His lines & the things he does had me on the verge of peeing myself. The doctors office scene had me laughing so hard I cried. The way S.E Hall writes a man's POV is awesome. We see such a beautiful side of Sawyer this time round. He was always a fiercely loyal friend but his love for Emmett goes beyond what I thought he was capable of & I'm so glad because with a character like Sawyer, it's so believable.
I really liked Emmett & thought she made a great match for Sawyer.
I'm really looking forward to Zach's story (he stole my heart from book 1 too)

5.0 out of 5 stars Entice.........Sawyer Beckett oh my! 9 February 2014
By Angela - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
This is my review for Entice by S.E. Hall for Eskimo Princess Book Blog at

Can I just start out by saying I love Sawyer Beckett? If you thought Sawyer was swoon worthy in the previous books, wait til you read this one. Sawyer Beckett is a ladies man. He is doing good in school, has an awesome job, great friends, and a revolving bedroom door. He thinks his friends Dane, Evan, and Tate are absolutely crazy for settling down with one lady. When he sets eyes upon Emmett Young, he finds out they might not be so crazy after all. Emmett is beautiful, but she closes herself off. She holds a secret that she knows will send Sawyer running. Will she be able to keep Sawyer in the friend zone, or will he steal her heart right out from under her? Will Sawyer be able to handle the secret that Emmett is keeping from him?

Wow, I loved this book. S.E. Hall has outdone herself again! She gives us the perfect balance of humor, drama, and sexiness. There were a couple times she had me laughing so hard I had to give myself time to calm down before I could continue reading. Sawyer is amazing in this book, don't get me wrong, there were times when I wanted to shake him and tell him to wake the hell up. Other times I wanted to give him a big hug and tell him everything was going to work out just fine. Emmett, well you can't really help but feel for the girl. She has had it rough but Sawyer and the crew takes her in and shows her that she is special and she deserves to be loved. I love The Crew. They are such great friends that look out for one another. You not only get Sawyer and Emmett but you also get a lot of Dane and Laney as well.

I would recommend this book to everyone who has read the previous three books in the Evolve series. I would also recommend this book to anyone who loves possessive men who would do anything for the women they love.

S.E. Hall really knows how to write from the male point of view! Sawyer's voice was absolutely spot on! He thought, said and did exactly what I thought he would do and he was hilarious! I'm so glad I got to read Sawyer's story! I never would have thought that when Sawyer went down, he'd fall so hard and so fast. This was a sweet story with just the right amount of angst and a precious ending that melted my heart! This fabulous series is a must read. You'll love The Crew and Sawyer will undoubtedly become your favorite reformed bad boy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sawyer - my favourite so far! 16 February 2014
By Jo Blogs - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
I love this series by S.E. Hall. The first book had me so conflicted with the love triangle that was going on, the second book saw the loser in that triangle find his little slice of happiness, now in this book we get to finally meet Sawyer. Properly. He’s there in the first two, in the background, the cocky one, the one with the mouth. This book is his showcase, where we see what he’s really made of. And let me just say, I was really, really looking forward to seeing this lion’s roar become a kittens meow! Because make no doubt about it, Sawyer is about to get owned. His jibes about the other guys in The Crew being pussy whipped are about to come back to haunt him!

We got a brief glimpse at the end of Embrace of just who the lucky lady is, the one who gets to tame Sawyer Beckett. He is pining for the mysterious girl he saw at the party a while back, but with no name to go on, he resigns himself to the fact he’ll never see her again. Fate has other plans though, and when he meets Emmett Young he thinks his prayers have been answered. He has a battle on his hands though, because for the first time he’s the one doing the chasing. Emmett doesn’t succumb to his charms as easily as he would have liked, but what he doesn’t realise is that Emmett is hiding something, which is why she’s holding back.

Emmett is attracted to Sawyer, but is guarding her heart because she is sure once her secret is out, that will be the end of any relationship. She is happy to be friends with Sawyer, but he’s going to do everything he can to convince her he’s in it for the long haul.

I loved seeing Sawyer brought to his knees in this book. He deserved it for making fun of the loved up guys in The Crew!

‘… all my boys keep getting lost in the Bermuda Bush – as in they dive into a bush once and I never see them again’

From the moment he meets Emmett, there’s no going back. She’s everything he built her up to be in his head, everything he wants in a woman and everything he needs. She’s perfect for him. There’s nothing that she can do or say to convince him otherwise, even when she reveals her secret, he is the man she never dared to hope he would be. For Emmett, Sawyer is her knight in shining armour, he’s her best friend, someone she can talk too, someone she can laugh with, he’s protective, loyal, hot, and would do anything for her.

I love Dane and Evan, but Sawyer is my absolute favourite. The things that come out of his mouth leave me either laughing, needing a cold shower, choking on my drink, or completely swooning! I also had a few tears at the end of the book, it was so touching. I’m not going to say why, I’ll leave that for you to find out.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 phenomenal stars....I don't want this series to end. At. All. 22 February 2014
By Bethany - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
If there is ONE book I recommend you read this month….let it be THIS ONE. Sawyer is amazing…..I really think this book was the book to lead up to. By this, I mean that I waited until NOW to read this series after I saw a teaser for Entice……and after all the books leading up to this one, this was literally the icing on the cake. It was superb! I fell in love with this series when I read Emerge; absolutely loved it….easy 5 star read for me. But, as I was going through the series and reading it, I got little glimpses of Sawyer and his personality, but also his little insecurities here and there. He has this bravado, this confidence about him that is irresistible….and the personality and wit to back it up. He’s also good looking and he has charm, and he always protects what’s his. Basically, he is a protective man with his own demons to battle. But, he also questions things and in this book, we get to discover all that is Sawyer. Prepare to fall in love.

In the end of Entangled, we finally see the breakdown of Sawyer and the drive to find the one that has finally caught his eye….and cemented herself in his mind. Sawyer saw this beautiful girl and needed to get to know her….as in; he followed her at an event and went to go find her, but missed her. He tried and tried to find her and searched many placed and couldn’t locate her…until a most inopportune time, she walked right back into his life. The most embarrassing meeting ever….but, he finally sees her again.

Badarse hair, cowboy boots and the face of an angel….she’s effing Skittles-one package, every effing flavor! ~Sawyer

It was not his ideal way to ‘find’ her, but he finally did….and walked away. That wasn’t a good first “meeting”, per se. Thankfully, this meeting doesn’t define what it is to come….and what’s to come is an amazing love story like no other. I may have to admit to loving Sawyer (but I still love Dane!!). He is so true and so real….this story was an amazing story about a man trying so hard to do what’s right that he scares himself off.

Emmett Young was the one Sawyer wanted….the elusive one he sought after a brief encounter. Watching him search for her and what he went through should say something….volumes! And it did, but Sawyer’s smart-arsery comes into play as usual. No one gets to see the softer side of Sawyer….do they?

Oh, and I’ve definitely edged precariously close to actually growing a va-jay-jay. I can’t help it, I don’t want to help it; I effing like her, a lot. I think about talking to her as much, if not more, than I think about sliding into her sweet body. Even I know, that means something. ~Sawyer

When Sawyer is contemplating more than just a one-night stand, you know something is up! Seeing Sawyer turn into this smitten man was a great adventure. Exploring this seemingly sensitive side to him was fascinating. I already loved Sawyer for the excellent friend he was to everyone in The Crew, but seeing this softer side to him when it came to a woman was incredible.

Sawyer was trying really hard to get to know Emmett, and trying really hard to let her know that he wanted more than just friendship…..but alas, she was not having it. He was laying it on thick!!! But, poor Emmett, she had a secret that was for sure going to scare him off and she needed to keep him at arm’s length. She wasn’t going to allow herself to fall for Sawyer, only to have him walk away and leave her. She was so sure that he wasn’t going to stick around after he found out about her, so she wanted to be his friend, and nothing more. He was given some good advice by Kasey, and it was very fitting for Sawyer:

“You know,” he slaps on hand on my shoulder, “You can chase and chase a butterfly and never catch them. But if you stand still, they may decide to land right on you.”

Excellent advice….and Sawyer needed to listen. So, Sawyer decided to back off and friend Emmett; actually be there for her and get to know her. They played a get-to-know-you game with each other that was the sweetest thing ever, but it helped break down some walls and I loved it. It was so romantic and sweet. However, there was still a really big secret that Emmett was holding onto. My heart broke for her. She was hiding something, and I just wanted to hug her. Our own imagined fears block what can simply be phenomenal….we just have to let those fears go sometimes.

They end up spending a lot of time together and spending many nights together…..many. She would be in his arms and they would snuggle all night. Why was this relevant? Because Sawyer always “hit it and quit it”, never wanting a woman to stay overnight and sleep with him. But, it wasn’t for a lack of trying to get close to her. One scene I read was, to me, the perfect explanation for Sawyer waiting before he actually took her. It set the stage for me as to how thoughtful and sweet Sawyer was when it came to Emmett. She was different. She meant much more to him…

“Yes, I have effed a lot of women. Yes, I would love to get lost inside of your sweet little body, but not like that. I want to know you, everything about you. I want to make love to you, which I’ve never done before. When I take you, it will be because you can’t wait another effing second, begging me to take you to a place where only you and I exist, a place where only I can show you I love your heart as much as your body, your mind and everything else that makes you you.”

Call me a sucker….but I was done for after that. Oh, he made me just *sigh*. This sexy side of Swoony Sawyer was so delicious…..scrumdiddlyumptious. Yes….that is my new favorite word to describe Sawyer. Tattooed, pierced….it all adds up to yumminess. He fell head-over-heals in love with Emmett, and he was dead set on proving his worth to her and how much he wanted to be there for her. I really loved this side of him….I truly did. Seeing their relationship grow and develop into something beautiful was such a treat. Excellently written, your emotions thrive just as Sawyer’s and Emmett’s do. It was such a treasure.

After finding out Emmett’s secret and accepting that this is who she is and what she has to offer, he buckles down, steps up to the plate and is the man I knew he was. He was IT! I am sitting here, shaking my head….trying to figure out how to convey to YOU that this MAN was more than amazing. Sawyer is unbelievably marvelous, sinfully delicious and mouthwatering. The full package…literally.

Unfortunately, he gets caught up and loses sight of his goal….and he puts his relationship with Emmett to the test and makes some stupid decisions. Ones that are very hard to stomach for Emmett.

We see Sawyer throughout the entire series making sure Laney is ok….there is a certain protectiveness he has over Laney. He showed that he is an amazing and loyal friend to all The Crew, but we also got to see the softer side of him when Laney tries to talk with him and help him out. Sawyer tries to push Laney away when she starts to ask how things are going with him and Emmett, but she only wants to be there for him……especially since they are roommates now. I loved seeing the whole crew pull together for Sawyer’s sake this time. He has always been the rock for everyone else and it was nice to see that he had really good friends that surrounded him.

Overall, this book is an amazing book….stupendous, wondrous, magnificent, powerful and phenomenal. This story is one for the record books…seriously, it takes you on a journey and you are feeling everything WITH Sawyer and Emmett. You aren’t looking in….you are there. I highlighted SO much in my book….it really made it difficult to narrow down any quotes. I LOVED THIS BOOK!

Excellent story. Excellent journey. Excellent love.

5 phenomenal stars….I don’t want this series to end. At. All.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Sawyer book I never knew I wanted... 13 February 2014
By Trish Santos - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Just when I think S.E. Hall can’t top the amazingness that is Dane Kendrick or Evan Allen, she goes and makes us fall head over heels in love with Sawyer Beckett. As soon as you open the book, prepare to surrender your panties to Sawyer. He’s the perfect package. He’s walking sex, his inner monologue is hilarious, he knows what girls like, and his best side is the inside. Cheesy, I know. But, he has the biggest heart behind all that tattooed, pierced, muscle-y hotness. He is loyal, caring, knows exactly what to say, and goes above and beyond for the people he cares about. What’s not to love about him?

“Because from the day I first saw you until the day I saw you again, I didn’t like where I was. Now you’re here and I do. So it stands to reason that staying with you, wherever it is we’re going, is my best course.”

I can’t say much about the plot without spoiling anything, so here’s a vague outline. In the prologue, we are reminded that Sawyer saw Emmett at Parker’s bachelor party. She was a terrible stripper, and Sawyer is immediately drawn to her. Unfortunately, they were unable to talk that night and Sawyer has no way of tracing her. Fast forward to see Sawyer banging his pain. He goes through countless girls to try to erase the emptiness he feels inside. He can’t stop thinking about the girl who got away.

“I have no idea why it takes some couples years to fall in love and some only a day, or if any of them even know. But I do know that I like you, so much. I want to know you, and I think you want the same thing.”

They finally meet again, at one of Sawyer’s not-so-finest moments. It’s pretty funny. And pretty soon, she gets a job at the K, the Club Dane owns and Sawyer manages. But, it’s not smooth sailing from there. It might have been love at first sight for Sawyer, however, Emmett has her secrets. The sexual tension builds as Emmett tries to resist Sawyer despite their obvious chemistry. I loved the build-up, but even more I loved watching them let go of their inner demons and slowly fall in love with each other.

“I told you. I warned you, Sawyer, don’t give me your heart.”
“I know you did, and I’m not pressuring you, but some things you can’t call the shots on. I’m not sure if I gave you my heart or if you stole it, but either way, I don’t want it back.”

I felt like the plot line for Entice was a lot heavier and even more emotional than its predessors in the Evolve series. I think it might just be that S.E. Hall’s writing is getting even better. I don’t remember laughing this much with the other books. It might be because the book switches between Sawyer and Emmett’s POVs, and Sawyer is downright hysterical. This book put my heart through the wringer for sure. It was full of ups and downs, and the best part was that they were real-life problems. It was just too easy to empathize and fall in love with Sawyer and Emmett.

“You scare the s*** out of me beautiful Emmett, with how fast, how hard you completely mesmerized me. One day you might figure out I’m an ass and run screaming, but I’ll chance it. I’ll risk anything to keep myself by your side as long as possible.”

I don’t know if I can classify Sawyer and Emmett’s relationship as insta-love or a friends to lovers story. But I think it’s both, If you read Emerge and Embrace, you would know how S.E, makes her characters fall in love. She shows that there’s some sort of inexplicable pull between the two characters, but she lets you come on the journey with them as they fall in love fast and hard. I love it.

“You don’t need me to save you, Sawyer.”
“You’re right. I don’t. You already did. And I’d love nothing more than the chance to show you what I can be.”
“You already did.”
“Oh, Em, you have no idea. There’s so much more I want to show you.”

Sawyer makes a complete 180 in this book. It’s unbelievable how once Emmett comes into his life, he changes from a boy to a man. He did a lot of growing up in this book. Of course there are other factors which make that possible, but those are spoilers. I definitely swooned over the things he said and did for Emmett. And, god, is he sexy. I can’t even. All I have to say is: DJ Booth. Read it to find out what I’m talking about. Oh, and all his nicknames for Emmett? Swoon, swoon, swoon. Freaking killed me with all those terms of endearment.

“The thought of losing him is suffocating, a sadness so bone deep I can’t take a full breath. I don’t even remember who I was before I let him in anymore. I don’t think I ever want to. The only Emmett I want to be is his Emmett.”

Emmett was more of an enigma. Sawyer wears his heart on his sleeve, but Emmett is a lot more guarded. It takes a while for her to open up to Sawyer, and even when she does, she keeps thinking that she could never deserve a guy like Sawyer and that he’ll be leaving soon. Once we learn her reason for thinking like that, it makes a lot more sense, however, all it does before that is cause more sexual tension (no complaints here). I admired Emmett’s strength and her determination. It’s no wonder Sawyer fell in love with her so quickly. She is just as selfless and caring as Sawyer is.

“I knew the minute I saw you that you’d be the end of me. I was right. You’re it. You’re all I see. You’re all I think about. I love you, Emmett.”

And of course, we get to catch up with the Crew. One of my favorite circles of friends. I get to see my fave, the adorable Evan, and his love, the equally adorable, Whitley. And we get to see more of caveman Dane, and the most stubborn woman alive, Laney. I loved seeing how much they’ve grown up in the past year or so. They’re just as close-knit and entertaining as ever. I will be sad when we eventually have to see them go.

“Thank you. Thank you for being exactly who you are and loving me exactly how you do.
“I don’t know about all that, but I will always love you the best I know how.”

Evan will always be my favorite Evolve boy, but I know for a fact, that everyone is going to fall in love with Sawyer. We get to see him in a completely different light in this book. Who knows, maybe we’ll get some people to convert to Team Sawyer which means less competition for me for Evan. Sawyer and Emmett are so perfect together, even when they forget it. They bring out the best in each other, and their love is the kind that changes lives. I was extremely pleased with how this book turned out, and I congratulate S.E. Hall on creating yet another story of finding yourself and falling in love.

“The only way I know how to give all I am to one person is the way I am with you. So babe, I’m kind of a work in progress, but I’m your work in progress. Only yours, ever, forever. I don’t want to be away from you, Em. I don’t want to miss another thing.”
