The beginning reminds me a bit of The Bourne Identity. Then it turns into a crazy sci-fi story with a very wide variety of sci-fi elements of all sorts.
There's something about the informalness of the writing that I like, it gives it an almost new-edge mainstream type vibe. It could use a bit of editing, but there is nothing drastic that takes away from the flow of the prose. There is something quite alive in this text, which makes for an enjoyable read.
Unfortunately, I found the sci-fi aspects to be a bit over the top, ridiculous, and just overwhelming. It develops into something so crazy, that it almost turns into a fantasy novel of some sort. It is all very strange.
