Product Description

Fans of Robin McKinley’s fairy tale retellings will devour this sweet fantasy romance.

When Princess Aliénor of Jerdun left her peaceful home, she’d hoped for adventure. Instead, her cruel husband has kept her confined to her wagon and set his pet witch to monitoring Aliénor’s behavior with spells.

King Thomas of Lyond set out on the same road east hoping to reclaim his colonies and forget a tragic loss. Instead his men are slaughtered, and he barely escapes with his life. Aliénor’s party finds him half-dead on the road, and Thomas finds himself instantly drawn to the princess. Thomas is older than Aliénor, jaded, but the brave princess kindles a light inside him. It breaks his heart Aliénor belongs to another man, and an unworthy one at that. Scrambling to survive in a perilous wilderness, they must fight their inconvenient attraction to each other.

But more than the enemy army dogs their steps. The cunning witch has set her sights on King Thomas, hatching a plan to make herself his queen and brewing a dark curse to take care of Aliénor…

ENCHANTING THE KING is inspired by the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale. This book is part of THE FAIRY TALES OF LYOND SERIES, a set of adventurous and romantic stories inspired by classic fairy tales and folklore. All books in this series take place in the same world of true love and grand fantasy adventures. You can read them back to back, or as individual, stand-alone books.

Books in The Fairy Tales of Lyond Series:
Enchanting the King
The Beauty's Beast
The Changeling Child

About the Author

E.D. Walker, a native of Los Angeles, is the author of The Beauty's Beast Fantasy Series that begins with Enchanting the King. As a child, she grew up knowing all the words to the songs in Disney's fairy tale retellings. (Sleeping Beauty was always her favorite.) Lo and behold, she eventually grew up to write fairy tale retellings of her own. By day, E.D. helps corral engineers for NASA (without doing any of the tech stuff herself, of course). By night, she loves to write her clever heroes and heroines bantering their way to true love. E.D. is a total geek, a movie buff, and a mediocre swing dancer. E.D. and her husband live in sunny Southern California with two of the neediest housecats on the planet.
