Product description

Product Description

This is the entire Empathy series including, Empathy, Desolate, Vacant and Deadly. This is a dark romance with caution.

I am a brother
I am a police detective
I am a contract killer
I don’t want to love
I don’t want to feel
I don’t want … EMPATHY.

They say some people are born with decreased activity in the front central lobe causing them a deficiency in empathy. Maybe that’s true about me but whether I was born this way or created in a moment of evil, empathy was something I didn’t possess until her green eyes met mine in the mirror and I couldn’t take her life.
I didn’t want to feel, didn’t want this woman in my life complicating how I lived but she was there at every turn. Sent to haunt me for my sins. Her light so bright she provoked a shadow from everyone she touched. When a job turns bad quickly altering my life forever I’m forced to feel. When nothing is making sense I’m forced to face truths I never would recover from. When life drowns you in its cruelty you don’t know which way the current will drag you or who you’ll become once you re-surface.

5★★★★★ for the EMPATHY Series! & Ker Dukey!
Blew away all my expectations!!! Raw Dark Intense Edgy AMAZING! *Riveting & chilling (in a good way)*
Psychological thriller that you will love!!!!
I have no clue how to even describe this twisted suspenseful gripping Series! It is an amazing story and I loved every minute of reading it. It is so well written that it is captivating and vividly depicted. But be warned as the story unfolds you need to be prepared for an emotional intense and unexpected story line. There are twists and WTF moments pop up that just blow your mind.
This is a" MUST READ" for anyone who loves to read a dark romance that is raw emotional powerful and nail biting. I wish I could express more of why I loved this story, but it is impossible without giving away spoilers.
I loved it! I honestly loved EVERY SINGLE TWISTED ASPECT of this story, and Ryan who may be a complex character but you can't help but just feel for him! Ker Dukey knows how to write original stories that will leave you speechless and amazed!

*******Empathy*****I was hooked from the start it's a twisted story of love and betrayal I don't know how to put this Book review into words with out giving to much away it's just WOW as with all Kers books I loved this one it's dark it has some good twists this book was a total mind **** and at the end I was like what the hell it has blown me away.

******Desolate****** It starts 18 years later after the events of Empathy Blake and Melody are trying to live a normal life with their daughter Cereus they have never told her about her Uncle Ryan and hide some of the truth from their pasts from her.
Then Ryan gets released from Psych hospital where he was put 18 years earlier everyone believes he is a changed man and now believe he can lead a normal life But as we know Ryan he can manipulate to make them think that he is this changed man... But he knows about Cereus .... what happens well you will have to read it to find out but it is filled with twists and turns such a great book from start to finish.

*****Vacant***** I totally Love this series Ryan is one messed up guy and I am sick in the head because I just fall for him every time this is a great Novella where Cereus is off to collage trying to live her life. But can she ever just have a normal Life with Ryan still in the background and is always watching out for her? You have to read to find out.

*****Deadly**** AMAZING ENDING I can't say to much with out spoilers but for me it was the only ending for this series it could have gone one of 2 ways and I am so glad Ker didn't go there cause maybe in the Future Ryan and Cereus might have more to tell us (wishful hoping).

Ker you gave them the perfecting Ending in my eyes cause to me.

Ker thank you for sharing Ryan and the gang with us.

This box set is one of the most brilliant dark box sets I've ever read. Each story unfolds and you have no idea where these characters are going to end up. Blake, Ryan, Mel & Cereus are characters that you won't soon forget. Their twisted tale of love and loyalty will push every boundary that you have and then push some more. I love a book where you cheer for the bad guy, but what do you do when you aren't sure who the real bad guy is?

Empathy sets the stage and tells the beginning. Back when you thought you knew the story. You knew where these characters were going to go. Then Ker went and threw everything you thought out the window.

Desolate takes place 18 years after Empathy. When the "normalcy" was supposed to happen. Come on, did you really think everything was going to be sunshine and kittens? I think this was my favorite out the box set. It really showed the characters true colors.

Vacant is the one book that I thought was heartbreaking. My entire outlook on Ryan changed beginning with this book. It also became Cereus's awakening, so to speak.

Deadly is the conclusion to this messed up tale of twisted love and loyalty. It couldn't have ended any better. But beware for those looking for their HEA....a HEA is subjective. For me, it was perfect. My heart ached for these characters.

I really don't want to give too much away because it will spoil it for you, the reader. Ker Dukey is one of my favorite dark authors and books like this are the reason why. I love an author that can make me think, an author that can make me love an unlovable character, and let me tell you, you won't always love these characters. Or maybe you're like me, and you will.

Ok, so, I went into this series knowing nothing about it. No forewarning of the darkness within it's pages. I had no expectations, which gave the story a lot of leeway both ways. I could hate it or love it. An I loved it, but I didn't just love it. I devoured it. In one day. All four in one day. It pulled me in from the beginning. It gave the darkness that lives in us all light and a name: Ryan Braxton. He gave life to all the horrible things us "normal" people hide deep in recesses of our minds. It pulls you in with it's seductiveness and holds you to The End, where you are left with a hollowness and sense of tragedy. Not only for the characters but for yourself. For it having ended.
