5.0 out of 5 stars Great play for kids! 12 July 2016
By Eileen - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
This is a great little play for kids! It was well set out, with information like helpful things for kids to think of when performing, ideas on adapting the cast, notes on scenery, props and costumes, songs that can be sung during the performance, and a range of warm-up acting exercises. The play would be best aimed at kids in approximately grades 3-6, although could be adapted for younger kids. The lines are not too long so kids should be able to memorise them reasonably easily, and working on props and scenery and costumes would be great extension activities in the classroom. If I was still teaching this is definitely something I would do with my class!

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

5.0 out of 5 stars What I love about her books is her attention to detail 7 July 2015

Format: Kindle Edition
I must admit that the author seems to have a special talent for writing plays for elementary kids. I’m thoroughly impressed by her simplistic style of writing. Very apt for little children. What I love about her books is her attention to detail. Each and every aspect of the play starting from the backdrop, setting, costumes, cast, narrator, songs, music, and a host of other things that are required on the stage, are all explained in great detail. I can almost visualize the scenes playing in front of my eyes. I love the simplicity of the conversation between the characters. I can only imagine how easy it’ll be for the children to memorize the script. Highly recommended book for young kids.
