I played a few hours with a friend and once he went off, I deleted it off my PS5. The game play is really unenjoyable, bugs beyond belief (whoever signed off on this release should be shot), no comms, no scoreboard, 2 game modes, and the maps are just bogus. This is seriously the worst game I have ever played and I'm a huge fan of the Battlefield games. It really shows how rubbish it is that I am back to playing BF1 and BFV. It's ridiculous and a big disappointment. Everyone wanted a new modern warfare game similar to BF4, but they came out with a crappier version of COD. Save your money or wait for them to fundamentally redesign this game with patch updates!
Good if you just want to play short sessions, it will give you fun.
Wouldn’t recommend to buy for more than 10$
There also appears to be too many vehicles on many of the maps. In Breakthrough the points up high are difficult if not impossible to take, and makes these points a grind. It appears DICE never really tried real 64v64 players. I would have loved some closer combat maps instead of maps with huge spaces between.
There are bugs galore, sometimes you join a match and cannot select a loadout. However, closing the game and reopening it fixes it but you would assume that would be fixed at launch.
Granted it looks beautiful, and the new mechanics/classes are a change from what was in the previous iterations of BF. But I must say that the moment it is not that enjoyable to play and needs more polish.

As a COD player usually BF is a new experience for me, a LOT slower than COD but you get used to it eventually. If you deploy on your squad members already close to the battle then that's not really an issue you're right back in it. Choosing a character is odd, you select a specialist which has their own unique perks like a recon or assault specialist, then you get a basic load out and away you go.
To be fair, I hated this aspect. It was confusing and your gun selection was like 5 to choose from from ALL the categories like snipers and assaults.
As you progress you unlock new attachments, scopes and parts for your gun which is cool and while playing you can hot swap those parts onto your gun in a pinch, like swapping a 12x zoom to a iron sight on the sniper straight away.
Besides that their some decent character customization you can do and achievements to do and that's kind of all that stood out to me as a noob.
Nether less I played maybe 4-5 hours worth and ended up getting the flow of the game and had some decent fun.
Again for the cheap price, it was TOTALLY worth it, something different to play and no real loss if I don't ever play it again.
Now for the not so good.
Finding a lobby that isnt the main game mode was pointless. No one is literally playing in them (i'd be the only one in the lobby of 42) and when you do get in a small lobby, you're up against AI players, and most of the time if it's not a full server the pace of play is ridiculously slow... like you won't find anyone for 5-10 minutes while you capture bases on your own.
To be fair was playing late at night around 11:30pm at this stage but still, pretty poor effort for a 22 released game.
Graphics were average at best, definitely not on par with COD by any means.
I wish voice chat in game was a thing, only occasionally see PC players typing stuff, so I don't know if no one talks or just in general everyone is just in their own private parties but I digress.
I don't think their is a scoreboard feature, if there is I don't know how to get it up to show.
And finally it's still buggy and glitchy, but definitely better than before.
Overall, if you just want to have some harmless fun and not take the game too seriously then sure pick it up, but don't pay more than $20-30, you'd have more fun on on the ether free older BF games, or on a old COD game.
This is the most un-battlefield game out there FYI, and unfortunately gets stuck in between. Maybe in the future they will bring this game back from the ashes, but yeah give it a go if it's cheap but don't expect the moon.
