I could not make it beyond 40%. So. Many. Plotholes. And contradictions in everything from her power, to relationships, and even in timelines. And she's such a doormat, first Jackson, then Griffin, and I gave up when Durant remodels and takes over her bedroom. Because she gets angry and upset but simply lets him do what he wants anyway. Not to mention that she keeps apologising for absolutely everything, even when she saves someone's life, "I'm so sorry for ruining your life" is said more than once when she's literally just saved them from torture and death.
Really love the uniqueplots & the different storylines throughout, but the constant angst & repetition of that angst over & over is irritating & detracts from the story. But otherwise, it's yet another unique take on magic, with a natural magic user altered by human labs to be a multi shifter & something else. And it's the first I've read that manipulates energy & electricity as a form of magic. If it was just stripped of the repetitive angst it would be a great series instead of just good.
