This was recommended by my FB book club and since joining have explored lots of new genres I wouldn’t have read this before but I am so very glad I did I loved the story and as for Eleanor OMG I totally fell in love with her character and quirkiness I was sad to finish it and would definitely recommend this book to everyone I know
Recommended to me by by a friend I am embarrassed to say I put off reading it as wasn't sure I'd enjoy it, well I absolutely loved it! I have recommended it to so many people. This the first book I've reviewed where I've been positive and happy to say it's a great read. A little quirky and a little sad, at times I laughed out loud. I thoroughlyenjoyed this book and was sad to finish as would have loved to read more about Eleanor. I can understand why it will be turned into a movie.
I thoroughlyenjoyed this book and felt I could get to know the main characters as real people. As the story unfolds you are given glimpses of why the characters behave as they do. I liked the fact that the book ended suddenly - it seemed to make it more real.
I thoroughlyenjoyed this book, it's frank honesty was charming. It's spoken in the first person so if you spend read dialogue only, it may not appeal. The triumph of the human spirit & the honesty of true love is beautiful. Well worth the read.
I thoroughlyenjoyed this book, start to finish. And kudos to the Author because even though I didn't particularly like the judgemental nature of the lead protagonist I continued reading, and then finally understood that this judgemental nature was due to her illness. Perhaps I should not have been so quick to judge myself! I loved it. I found Raymond to be adorable, don't we all need a Raymond in our lives. The writing was amazingly good, so much so, I spent a lot of time using the dictionary to look up words, yes, I will admit it, my vocabulary is not so good. Worthy of five stars, and I don't give reviews often for books I read.
