Brilliant. There are some books that just can’t pull yourself away from with the need to find out what’s going to happen, and this is definitely one of those stories. I quite enjoyed that the plot is a little bit different from other Crime Thrillers that I’ve read, and there was more than storyline happening throughout the book. This is the third book I’ve read by Stefan Ahnhem, and I’ve loved each one of them. I’ve definitely become a fan of his writing.
Fabian Risk and his fellow detectives are baffled when the autopsy confirms the recent body pulled out of the water was already dead before the car had entered the water. It’s a bit unusual for someone that’s been frozen dead for a couple of months manage to drive a car around the city. Dunja Hougaard isn’t so thrilled about being a police officer patrolling the streets and would much rather be back in her old job as a detective. So, when Dunja sees that a homeless man with a crushed chest had obviously been murdered, and the detectives in charge didn’t seem to be that interested in finding the murderer, she decides to start investigating the case herself. What Dunja doesn’t realise is that her old boss Kim Sleizner is still out to get her, and he will do anything to sabotage her career. If you enjoy Thrillers, then you will love this book. It’s well worth a read. 5/5 Star Rating.
