Great sound, great value!

I bought these speakers for my PC sound output to replace a set I'd had for over 10 years that had developed an irritating buzz. The old speakers had a separate bass unit and delivered exceptional sound before the fault appeared. I first tried a Logitech Z200 which got quite good reviews. It gave acceptable sound with speech, but has an overall muffled sound which I suspect is a consequence of trying to get big speaker sound from quite small plastic boxes with no substance. When playing music of any sort, the Z200 was laughably poor. The Edifier set are a much more serious proposition. First, the boxes are quite heavy, built like hi-fi speakers but on a small scale - even though they are about four times the volume (size) of the Z200 speakers. But they are not huge, taking up about the same amount of deskspace as the support base of a large monitor - in fact, they can be hidden either side of and behind a monitor without compromising the sound. Speaking of sound, these speakers are a marvel. They are every bit as good as my old set without the need for a separate bass unit - a considerable saving in desk space. They perform equally well with any type of music I've thrown at them - fair enough, they're not hi-fi, but the sound they produce from a computer source knocks spots off anything else I have heard and, given the price (only $50 more than the Logitech Z200), they are an auditory marvel!

No bluetooth and expected better sound from these

to clarify, as the product description suggests that it does, these do not have bluetooth so the only options for inputs are RCA plugs from computer or RCA plugs from auxiliary source (both cables are provided). One speaker didn't sound too good when I tried them and one of the speakers doesn't work at all.
Beautiful finish though, and a great size for a desk.
