Easy Charm (The Boudreaux series book 2) by Kristen Proby was a sweet, but very hot read. It also had a subplot involving dramatic situation. All the books are linked, so it's best to read them in order (they are not a serial, though, thankfully).
The two main characters were a delight. Gabrielle (Gabby) was the youngest Boudreaux and the 'baby'. Gabby was gorgeous, pint sized, unpolished, natural and resilient. 'Burned' some years ago by her high school sweetheart, she had admirably carved out her spot within her wealthy family and successfully ran the Boudreaux Inn on the bayou in Louisiana...oh, and she was bringing up her seven year old 'I'm a handful' son Sam, too. She was one busy woman and hadn't had the time or the inclination for romance in years.
Charming, injured baseballer Rhys was a tall, built and handsome good-guy (and Kate's cousin from book 1). During his rehabilitation holiday at the inn, he set eyes on Gabby and his untapped 'alphaism' ignited. He had a backstory, too. Together, our two lovelies certainly brought the best out of each other, but there were hurdles to overcome before a final HEA.
Easy Charm was packed full of love, goodness, values and family. I recommend the book for a quick, feel-good and easy (like the title says) read.
PS The following point may contain a spoiler...please don't read on if you're concerned.
I'm not a fan of the smack, especially under the circumstances they're delivered late in this book, but other readers may feel differently.

The Boudreaux Series - Sexy. Intriguing. Easy.
Gabrielle Boudreaux, the youngest of the Boudreaux clan, is a single mother of her young son, Sam. Running a Bed and Breakfast at the family plantation house at the edge of the Mississippi River, Gabby loves her inn, her boy and her family. She meets new people every day, and takes pride in the house and land that has been in her family for more than five generations. Blessed beyond measure, she’s also lonely, although she would never admit that to anyone. Until Rhys O’Shaughnessy walks through her door, brooding and wounded and the sexiest thing she’s ever laid eyes on.
Rhys has been at the top of his game as a major league pitcher for the Chicago Cubs for more than ten years. Baseball is in his blood. But when he tears his rotator cuff and has to sit a season out, he retreats to Inn Boudreaux at the recommendation of his cousin, Kate, to heal and work toward building his shoulder back to perfect shape with only one goal in mind: to return to the game he loves. But he didn’t plan on being utterly charmed by a devastatingly beautiful woman and her baseball-loving son.
When Rhys’ shoulder has healed and he’s given the chance to return to his team, will he leave the family he’s come to love behind, or will he stay with Gabby and Sam?
