Pros:
-Sounds fantastic.
-Comfortable and adjustable.
-Decent cable length.
-Good mic positioning and gain.
-Cool audio settings with the software.
-Surround sound emulation.
Cons
-Difficult to set up. The instructions are confusing and it requires a bit of searching around to find exactly what the headset wants.
-Bulky; it can be a little bit heavy and is fairly large.
-Cable should be one uniform piece, a little braiding on the wire would not go amiss.
All in all, 8/10 product, a little bit pricey but a solid all round headset, for gaming or otherwise.
I plugged the cable into the headset and the USB assembly into the computer. How did they sound? VERY FAINT just like it said in the reviews! I then rechecked the headset cable and found it was NOT FULLY SEATED .It needed to go in another millimeter or so. Once I did that they were able to play at full volume and needed to be turned down as they were too loud at times.
Pros: Nice build quality, similar to my AKG 701 (Austrian version)
Good sound quality, not far behind AKG 701
Immersive 7.1 sound in games. Extra bass more fun in games and movies.
Cons: Little volume capacity left in reserve. Usually listen to other headphones on 25-50% volume. Need to have the GSP 550 on around 80% most of the time. Cable feels cheap.
When I first plugged in the headphones, I had similar issues. Awful sound quality/volume despite installing drivers. However there's a very simple fix for this: The cable needs to be plugged into your PC (obviously) via USB. It then connects to the Dolby dongle. Then finally there's a headphone jack that plugs directly into the headset itself. The last part is where I suspect most peoples troubles are arising.
That's because the headphone plug needs to be pushed into a recessed jack with what I can only describe as an UNCOMFORTABLE amount of force. Seriously, I was concerned I might break something. Because the jack is recessed, you can't see how much further the plug has to go in. But I can assure you it takes a bit of "oomph" to get it in there. Obviously nothing silly, but far more than I've encountered on any other headphone I've ever used.
However once the jack is in place properly, you'll find the sound quality has vastly improved. And that said, I've found the headphones to be a great purchase so far (on sale at 50% off RRP) so your mileage may vary depending on when you buy them.

I use for work conf calls, listening to music while I do and gaming - so there is definitely extended continuous use.
Sound quality is v good - perhaps not quite so much low end as a steel series arctic pro gamedac I had but much more comfortable with no erroneous drop out of configuration preferences.
Minor issue that could be improved is the ability to setup the EQ settings based on personal preference rather than one of the define pre-configurations - May allow the low and upper ends to be given more emphasis.
Mic is excellent.

Returned immidiately after opening. Dont waste your time.

The open back nature of the headphones is brilliant, very nice to be able to hear things around you that aren't in game. I've been able to have a full conversation with them on and not missed a word.
My favourite bit it the build quality though. They feel bullet proof. Really robust feel to the movement of all of the elements
