Worse miserylit ever.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 June 2016Verified Purchase
I gave up on this, it is so far fetched, dreary female character and angst ridden hero and storyline. The conclusion was predictable from very early on in the novel so no surprises in the plot developement, the characters were all cardboard and one dimensional. The only things lacking for them were twirling moustaches, cloaks and an evil laugh. I purchased this based on book description and the number of enthusiastic reviews on amazon, Thank goodness I didn't pay much for it. I can only think that others posting reviews were reading something else. I haven't read the previous books in this series and I don't know whether this would have helped me appreciate this novel or would have put me off for life. Is it aimed at teenagers? I know others will differ from me but I thought that this was the worse miserylit I've ever tried to read.

4th Slaughter Creek book
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 September 2014Verified Purchase
This is the 4th book in the Slaughter Creek series and they just get better. Well developed characters and totally unique storyline. The previous books focus on events around Amelia caused by the abuse by an evil man. This book focusses on Amelia and her amazing strength and determination not to let years of awful abuse destroy her chance to have a normal life. Absolutely loved it. It has suspense, romance and psychological thriller all wrapped up in 1 book. Don't start reading until you have plenty of time as you won't be able to stop.

A good series to read

I've enjoyed all of this series but did think this one went a bit far into the unbelievable - how many more half brothers/sisters are there? Apart from this it does tie up the story nicely.

Sorry but the worst one of the series
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 April 2015Verified Purchase
Sorry but the worst one of the series. I have decided that this author has a sick view on life as all the books appear the same for violence and sadistic acts.
