Love and death in the Bermuda Triangle...

Greta Gallagher is TRAIT's secret weapon. With her uncanny ability to sense trouble before it even happens, she's an invaluable asset to the team and her partner, Nico Tancredi. Except that ever since she botched the last mission, her “gift” has been completely MIA...and she needs Nico's help to find it again .

Nico has the ability to manipulate anyone except Greta. His challenge is to figure out how her mind works, without letting their attraction—unspoken and untried—get in the way. It does...and it's more intense than either of them imagined. But deep in the waters of the Bermuda Triangle, a terrifying secret waits for them both. A secret that doesn't just threaten their love, but their lives...and the very heart of TRAIT itself.

5.0 out of 5 stars AGENTS of TRAIT #4 29 November 2015

Format: Kindle Edition
An exciting romantic suspense with a little bit extra.
Greta Gallagher is an agent of TRAIT this is a super secret agency where all the agents have special abilities. Greta sees patterns in everything. This helps her predict where problems are coming from, hopefully in time to catch the bad guys. This does not make her easy to be around. She is very intelligent , but does not always understand people .
Nico Trancredi has been partnered with Greta. His ability is his voice. He can persuade people to obey him. They are working to find the origin of several unusual events, that Greta is convinced are connected, but can't find the pattern to. The chemistry between them does not help concentration .
With the government pulling on the purse strings, when Greta and Nico think they have found the source , they need to investigate on their own.
High powered political ambition, clandestine experiments and raging hormones all play a big part in this story. There was a time I was telling the characters "no, no, don't go there" but of course just like a horror film they go anyway. I think I will have to go back and read the books that came before this in the series.
4.0 out of 5 stars I like the quick touch of memory for the previous books 16 November 2015

Again, the synopsis does very well by the book so I'm not going to reiterate what's there.

Greta is special. She might have issues socializing and a few OCD's but she's got a knack for finding cases TRAIT needs to follow through on. Greta's ability to see patterns tells her something is off in the cases lately. But she has no evidence of a mission to go on to stop it, and prove it's really something going on. Greta's determined to find that something and solve what's going on. Greta references all three cases we've read in the series and that they shouldn't have fallen to TRAIT to solve. I like the quick touch of memory for the previous books, especially since this is the last of the series.

Now, pair Greta with Nico who is special in his own way. He vocally can influence people to do what they already want to do, but stop from doing it. He has a grand ability to communicate!

These two don't seem as they should be a perfect pair at first, but as I read I felt they were the heads and tails of the same coin. They completed the others ability were the other was a bit lacking. Their personalities compliment each other well too.

In this story we get the tie in of all the previous stories along with seeing each character for a few. This is definitely Greta and Nico's story but it's a bonus to see the others one last time with them.

I smiled the whole way through this story. I enjoy the chemistry between the characters as they stand their own as an individual, love each other for it, and compromise with the one they come so close to. And the geek references are always awesome!

The series are HEA books for the characters, which makes me happy too. It's sad to see the series end as I've enjoyed the fun of it each time.

This book is part of a series called Agents of TRAIT. I hadn't read any of the other books in this series, but I didn't have any trouble reading this as a standalone. I quickly figured out that TRAIT was a secret agency with agents whose abilities lay outside the realm of normal. Nico has the ability to alter something in his voice and convince people to open to his suggestions. His partner, Greta, can see the patterns in everything. She is the primary finder of cases for TRAIT. Nico has been attracted to Greta for a while. Greta is oblivious even though she thinks she may have some feelings Nico. Greta doesn't like to be touched and is extremely literal and detailed. She reads like someone who is autistic, highly intelligent but lacking people skills and subtlety.

Greta becomes upset when she begins to struggle to find patterns in recent events. She is convinced this warrants looking into and may making something big and dangerous. Unfortunately, no one is listening except Nico. He offers to help her as a way to see if he can better understand how her mind works...and also just to be closer to her. When their teamwork yields results, they lobby for permission to formally investigate. The trail takes them to the middle of the ocean right inside the Bermuda Triangle and into the middle of a huge political and scientific conspiracy. At this point, the danger increases exponentially, and though the timing may be inconvenient, so does their attraction to each other. I love how they both felt so misunderstood by their families but came to understand each other perfectly.

Overall, it was a great suspense with a very slight out of the norm, but not quite paranormal, vibe. It also has some funny moments related to Greta's creative usage of com's.

I received an ARC for review from the publisher via Net Galley.

This was fast paced, intriguing and had a resolution I did not expect. so much action, danger and passion in this book.

I fell in love with Nico. He was in love with Greta and didn’t know how to approach her. He was her partner but she was different. She challenged him and at times was quite insensitive. He was kind and patient. Loyal and always there for her. He understood her better than she understood herself sometimes. That made him a perfect match for her. too bad she had no idea what to do. I think this was what hurt her the most her confusion. She knew he believed in her and wanted to help her but she didn’t trust his emotions or hers for that matter.

Greta was one who lived in the world of patterns and in her mind. If something was outside a pattern she didn’t really understand. She was lost and Nico was one she was lost on. She was afraid of what she felt and how to act. He was her rock and losing him would crush her. She took awhile to realize his feelings but when she did wow. The passion erupted and it was great to see.

The plot was intriguing. You never really got a true grasp until the end. Bits and pieces were dangled in front of you but putting the pieces together happened with the characters so it was like you were in the story living the moments as they happened.

A great fast paced passionate story of two people who are partners and much more. They rely on each other to help solve a dangerous mystery that could hurt many while they explore what they are to one another.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This is the final book in the TRAIT series and boy does it go out with a Bang! I highly recommend reading the first three so you can enjoy how all the missions in each book match up. and to be honest I think I was so distracted by all the shiny and suspense and all the full on action that I didn't think about the fact that it would ALL lead up to a Grande Finale. But to talk about DFK.

We've seen hints of Greta in the other books and Nico we met in Fighting for Keeps. I've been wanting to know how Greta works (she sees patterns where no one else could and see how they are related)and Nico has VERY good people skills, not a liar but he convince people, very well to his side of thinking. You don't think they're right for a partnership but once they're both in sync and Nico shows Greta she understands her? BOOM! they are perfect!

With all the action flying around I couldn't quite figure how everything matched up, or how everything was going to fixed and TRAIT to save the day. But it was awesome and I loved every moment and I was all "What's happening?!" and terrified for the characters.

Read the first three, Gaming for Keeps, Conning for Keeps and Fighting for Keeps and you will enjoy the Grande Finale a heck of a lot more.

Bon Voyage Agents of TRAIT
