I loved getting back with the Assassin's family ☺ I enjoyed these two finding their way together although there were a lot of moments i wanted to smack both or one over the head for being so stubborn and frustrating. But they got their in the end, with a lot of growth from Aiden over their journey. I'm super excited for more from the next generation of Assassins.
I really enjoyed reading this ,it was funny with a lot of swoon and the side characters where just as good, the main characters where great and I love how shelli took no crap and stood up for what she wanted and needed in a relationship if you enjoy sport stories you will really enjoy this one ,
Toni you have done it again! I love the assassins all of them past present and future. Have waited to read about Aiden for ages, it’s great that past assassins are part of the story Shea and Elli, Lucas and Falcon, even Tate now those were great books too. Love ya
Thank you Toni for such a wonderful book. I've been attached since your first one and am so happy that you're continuing the whole story of this awesome Nashville family. Can't wait for the next one. Cheers Effie
Absolutely LOVED this book. Thank you Toni Aleo for Aiden and Shelli’s story, I have been dying for it to be released and was not disappointed. I did not think I could love any of your stories more than Shea and Elli but I was wrong, this is the very best book you have ever written. Thank you!
There are not enough stars to give this book!! I have read it 3 times so far, and I love it more each time! Having read the entire Nashville Assassins series, I am a massive fan of Toni Aleo and I am beyond excited that we now get to read the Next Generation!!! And what better way to start than with Shea and Elli's daughter, Shelli Adler?! She's sassy, beautiful and curvy like her Momma; but has her Daddy's confidence, strength and sheer determination to give their hearts what they want. And Shelli's heart wants Aiden Brooks! Shelli has wanted Aiden since she was 11 years old and now is her chance to get him ... only problem is that Aiden doesn't do relationships or love but he finds himself continuously drawn to Shelli, like a moth to the flame. His career is shaky, he's finally back home with his family and he knows that getting involved with Shelli is a REALLY bad idea. "Though, man, if there is anyone I want to make bad choices with, it's her." - Swoon!! Aiden is sexy, hot AF and yet so unsure about how to be in a relationship that you cannot help but to completely love him. Asher, his brother and confidante, is absolutely hilarious and I love all the usual Assassin family dynamics - now just with older kids. I adore how the couples we read about in the original Assassins series, are all still so in love 10-20 years later and that we get to revisit that in this Next Generation series - they all have stayed true to their characters and are just so funny now as parents - knowing what their kids are up to based on their personal experiences! I really do have a huge amount of respect for Toni as an author. To be able to build a world like she did, in the Assassins series, that sucks the reader in and makes you feel like you are right there with each character, through each relationship and yes, at each hockey game!, is an amazing talent in itself. But then, to take that world and expand on it into a new series of the Next Generation (literally!) that takes the reader on a new path, while visiting past and much loved characters along the way, is just brilliant and sensational. I honestly cannot wait for the next book of this series!!
Reviewed on behalf of 3 Degrees of Fiction book blog. If you are a fan of Toni's Assassins series, you will not want to miss the first book in the Assassins Next Generation series. Shelli Adler is the daughter of what I believe to be the best ever H ever written - Shea Adler. Lord I love that man, and that he pops up quite regularly in Shelli's story just made this book even better if possible. Add in Aiden Brooks, the son of Lucas and Fallon and this book really does deserve more than the five stars I was only able to give it. Aiden is still affected by his parents past. If you haven't read this book - do it and do it now!!! Now getting back on track, Aiden and Shelli have known each other since Shelli's birth. But he never really saw her as anything else other than the Assassins owner daughter. How they meet up again is hot and cringeworthy at the same time. I felt for Shelli badly. The story really takes off from here. I can understand Aiden's wariness due to his parents past (read the book!!) but Shelli and her amazingness eventually made him look towards the future rather than the past. Their relationship is anything but smooth sailing, but the very best relationships are worth fighting for. I have no idea who the next book will be about, but I do know that I can't wait to read it.
This. This is the story I have been wanting since we first met Aiden Brooks as a 6 year old.
And Dump and Chase did not disappoint.
I am a big, big fan of the Assassins series, and I am glad we are getting to see a little more of them as this new series starts.
I adore Shelli, She is plenty strong and goes after what she wants, however she is not afraid to show her vulnerabilities.
Aiden, Aiden, Aiden. I love him. I hate him. I can't help but love to hate him at times. He frustrated the crap out of me, I wanted to nut punch him more than once ( I really am feeling violent this week lol)
I laughed, I cried, I (mentally) threw my Kindle at Aiden's head at times lol. I did love getting into his head and figuring out, along with him, why he acts the way he does at times.
This is a great way to get back into Assassins world, and I am really, really looking forward to seeing where Next Generations takes us.
