Okay, first things first: Rebecca Zanetti is amazing at writing romantic suspense that is packed full of action and sexual tension. You get all of that (and more) in this fourth installment of the Deep Ops series!

I don't want to give too much away since this story and its delightful characters have been building on the sidelines since the first book in the series! The hero, Angus Force, is strong but tortured - and for good reason. His backstory really draws you in and makes you feel for him. He's had a bit of a tragic past and its definitely impacted his present day a lot.

The heroine, Nari Zhang, was a bit of a surprise to me in this book. It was really great getting to understand her more through her own backstory, and watch her and Angus' relationship develop further. It was also fun to see these characters interact again with characters from the previous books. It might not seem like a big thing, but as a reader, I ALWAYS enjoy revisiting favourite characters from previous books in the series.

The story itself was exactly as you'd expect from Rebecca Zanetti: entertaining! Zanetti writes stories that perfectly blend romance, mystery, intrigue, and action that keeps readers (like myself) hooked. The only thing I would mention is that, although, the stories in this series are about different couples, I would highly recommend reading them in order. I didn't read them in order and got a little lost every now and then, but that could also be a me thing! Things do get explained though but from my personal experience, I'd suggest reading in order. Other than that, I loved everything else about this book and am always happy to hear about any new books Zanetti is writing!

Driven by Rebecca Zanetti is book four in the Deep Ops series. It tells the story of Angus Force, who we have met in a previous book, who has an obsession with a serial killer who everyone else thinks is dead. When bodies start showing up with clues that lead to the dead serial killer, Lassiter, it is a race against time for Angus Force to bring him down….but not everything is what it seems. Thrown into the mix is Nari Zhang, the shrink for the Deep Ops Unit, which Angus runs. Although both of them are attracted to each other, they haven’t made a move, mainly due to the fact that Angus is obsessed with a dead man and Nari has her own issues to deal with. Only with her being thrown into the focus of a killer, does it seem to bring Angus out of his fugue and realise his true feelings for Nari.

This book was brilliant! If you have read the previous stories in this series, then you know that they are going to be action packed, with lots of twists and turns. Well, this one is no different. Not only do we have the growing relationship between Nari and Angus (which is super steamy), we also have precious characters popping up as well as what had happened to Nari in her previous role at the HDD.

Driven is a thrilling page-turner of a read. It seems to have everything you want in a book; romance, suspense, intrigue and lots of things getting blown up (I also didn’t see the twist at the end…..brilliant)! This book certainly doesn’t disappoint.

Once again we are with the members of Homeland Defence Department (HDD) and if you are a reader of this series then you have met Angus Force as he was in Hidden he is a former FBI profiler but that dark world almost destroyed He is a totally damaged soul but he is drawn back into the dark world when a serial killer that he believed he shot surfaces once again he has always thought that Lassiter who destroyed his life wasn't dead but no one believed him . Lassiter is determined that he will draw Angus back into his games and the last thing that Angus needs is to fall in love and paint a target on the woman he loves back but he can't resist Nari a psychologist who also works for HDD. Can they have a life together when someone is determined to destroy it.

Angus and Nari have been fighting their attraction since the beginning, because they work together. But now, someone is after them testing the limits of their attraction while trying to solve the mystery of Angus’ obsession with Lassiter and finding evidence he’s still alive and trying to figure else who else is after them😳

This story was amazing and action-packed and I love the characters as they are all so unique. I especially love Roscoe’s antics😂 I’m hoping this isn’t the end for the Deep Ops series and hopeful that we have a story for a certain Brit in the future😜 I received an advanced copy via Netgalley and I voluntarily leave my honest review❤️

Angus Force is obsessed with tracking down a serial killer, even though everyone else is convinced the man is dead. Finally, the killer begins to move and Angus has to find him before the man attacks his team. Nari finds herself hunted by Force's serial killer and she's determined to help Force, even though he wants nothing more than to keep her safe.

You know, by this point, I'm pretty much on board with any story in this series as long as the dog is in it! I love that messed up dog. The background story is engaging, and it's one we've been waiting for right from book one. From the start, we've known of Force's obsession with the killer who could be either alive or dead, and we've also seen the sparks between Force and Nari. I loved Nari's character, and I liked Force more than in previous books. The story has plenty of steam and a good connection between the couple and also between other members of the team.

I note that there's a fifth story coming (yay!), and I still have hopes for a couple of others.

It would be great to maybe catch some future cases of this superb team. If you have never (and why not?) read these adventures, do so. You will be in for such a treat.
