While the writing was fair and it was somewhat interesting It failed miserably to be anything other than frustrating characters who never go beyond or grow by chapter 4 it was clear that the spoilt brat was completely unaware she was a spoiled child A manipulator and childish she doesn’t grow beyond this even by the end sh doesn’t learn anything Add in the fact that rather than forcing her growth he caves and just continues to enable her
The final chapters or complications was unnecessary

Cardinal was brought to the dragons when she was sixteen and Kimber fought for her to be his mate. But he thought she was child and still does even though she has been there thirty human years. So Cardinal takes a stand, moves out, gets a job, and agrees to go on a date with the son of the alpha lion. She hopes Kimber will wake up and see she is a grown woman and finally claim her, but he agrees to all of her demands. She loves him but if he doesn’t want her than she is through with him. Ines was able to wrap up a happy ending for all of the denizens of the Garden of Eden! The dragons still may have issues finding enough halflings so that breeding isn't a death sentence to the women who are part of the sacrifices, but hopefully new and safer methods of birthing can also happen in the future. Fun world building and interesting characters that kept my attention and had me wanting to comeback for more. I'd like more stories about the brothers!
Opening the Vail so there can finally be mates for all. Choice plays a major part in this story. Family ties and honor. Overall quality of writing was really good. No cliffhanger or cheating. And, you get a happy ever after. Enjoy 🤓
