Product description

Product Description

Dragon Prince Nikolai Vassago’s day starts out fairly normal: get up, kick some ass, fondle his beard, take some names.

One minute he’s participating in a run-of-the-mill mission, and the next minute, he’s rescuing Brooklyn, the woman that is fated to be his, from the clutches of a criminal mastermind.

Nikolai is quite pleased with his fated mate. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for Brooklyn.

Living in a religious commune for the majority of her life meant Brooklyn wasn’t exposed to all of the outside world’s craziness. The moment she turned eighteen, she was off and running towards whatever new experiences the outside world could give her.

In her quest to experience it all, she tends to jump into situations without weighing the potential consequences until it’s too late. Brooklyn just wants to be free to make her own decisions and live her life as she pleases. But in her quest to save herself from the limitations of her old commune life, she lands herself in a dangerous situation, and Nikolai swoops in to her rescue, throwing her on the back of his dragon and flying off into the night.

He’s a man-with-a-plan kind of guy, and she’s a fly-by-the-seat-of-her-pants (not on the back of a dragon!) kind of girl.

Nikolai, however, has fate on his side, and whether she is ready to accept her fate or not, it won’t be denied. Brooklyn’s stubborn, though, and Nikolai will need to use all of his powers to show her that she’s exactly where she needs to be.

I am not normally into the paranormal romance however when it comes to anything written by Lani Lynn Vale I will give it a go. I absolutely loved the first book and I can't give this Dragon enough love. Lani has gone out on a limb by writing this type of book but it works, the way she has written these books you totally forget the paranormal side of it and just focus on the people. This story is about Nikolai and Brooklyn. Brooklyn is such a strong character and one that you grow to love. This story has suspense, drama, love, Steamy sex scenes with a hot alpha male and let's not forget it has dragons too, what else could you want in a hot steamy romance. If this series of books was turned into a movie or TV series I would be first in line to watch it. Cant wait for book 3.

So happy that these two mated, even though Brooklyn was not aware of that fact in the beginning. So much happens in this book, much like the first oneI would definitely recommend both and I am very excitedly looking forward to the next instalment:) I'm leaning towards Ian's story but I could be wrong.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 STARS! Exciting and sexy! Loved it! 20 October 2016

I’m not big on PNR, it’s just not my thing. It pains me to admit this, but I went into the first book of this series, I Like Big Dragons and I Cannot Lie, hesitantly. I’m such a huge fan of Lani Lynn Vale’s that I just didn’t even want to entertain the possibility that I could be disappointed by one of her books. Well, a lesson was learned over here, folks, because not only did I love that book, but I’d include that book (and this one) on my list of top favorite books by Lani Lynn Vale. So, needless to say, I was way more excited to start this book, and let me tell you, I was not let down.

Lani’s really taken some chances with her writing this year, she’s introduced three new series to her fans, and each one of them is vastly different than what we’ve seen from her in the past. This series, though, is something special. The fantasy-based world that she has built in modern day Dallas is fascinating. Once I got this book in my hands and began to read her words, they played like a movie in my head. I vividly envisioned all of these dragons, I was right there in the cool as heck compound, and I was riveted in place devouring the story.

Dragons Need Love, Too picks right up where I Need Big Dragons and I Cannot Lie leaves off. There is a little bit of concurrent action going on, and it definitely made the entire reading experience richer. This book was just as exciting, just as interesting, just as well developed as the first book. The story was gripping and thrilling and sexy. Nikolai and Brooklyn were magic together. I loved them! Of course, no Vale novel would be complete without her unique brand of humor, and there is a healthy dose of it here, too.

I’m always excited for a new Lani Lynn Vale novel, and as a grateful fan, she feeds that excitement with a regular supply of new material. But this series is just so different. It’s a breath of fresh air, and it draws the reader in right from the start. I can’t recommend this book and this new series from Ms. Vale highly enough. Without hesitation, I can say that it’s is a must-read for all of Lani’s fans, whether they love PNR or not. This non-PNR fan absolutely loved Dragons Need Love, Too, and it’s getting 5 smooches from me.

3.0 out of 5 stars I didn't really like the way everyone treated Brooklyn and I never really ... 3 April 2017

Ok so I was realllly looking forward to this book, and while it was an okay read overall, I got a little frustrated towards the end. I didn't really like the way everyone treated Brooklyn and I never really understood why Blythe got mad at her.... And that's my little issue with this book. I also kind of expected them to "date" more... Their "mating" wasn't a usual one, and they kept talking about dating first but the author never really showed that. I also kept getting annoyed with how everyone was treating Ian!!!! Mainly the boys, but I kept gettign frustrated because all the men kept saying "stay away from him, I don't want you near him" but I never got a vibe as to why. I couldn't figure out what their issue was with him and it really frustrated me. Needless to say, I am excited for his book next and am hoping the author will provide more insight to his relationship with the other dragon riders. Overall this book was good, I'm not really sure if I liked it better than the first one or not, but it was worth the buy and I will be buying the next book in the series.
5.0 out of 5 stars Loving these dragons! 20 October 2016

This is the second installment of the Dragon Series by Lani Lynn Vale. This book was filled with all of my favorite elements from this author. You had the humor, the sweetness, the sexiness and the suspense tied up all in this one book.
Brooklyn is a somewhat sheltered woman who is tossed into the middle of a long lasting feud due to her friendship with Blythe. Once exposed to her new life, she is strong and stubborn and loves deeply for those around her.
Nikolai, let me just say I would take a ride on his dragon anytime!! He can be moody and not great at communication, but he does it for the best of intentions. I loved the relationship between Brooklyn and Nikolai.
I also enjoyed how the reader got to see how Blythe and Keifer were fairing. I give this book 5 stars and cannot wait for the next book in the series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Can't get enough of these dragon riders! 22 October 2016

Really liked this second installment in the Dragon series! It was full of surprises, magic, laughter (thank you Perdita!), some close calls with tears & it left me with a lot of questions. (I can never know enough about these dragon riders!) Nikolai & Brooklyn don't quite take the favorite couple title from Keifer & Blythe but they sure come close!

Nikolai... Loved so much about this man! Still a little confused about his "blood phobia" but everything else... Oh, yeah... I get him. *wink wink* His intelligence, his bedroom skills, the way he harnesses his magic ... it all amps up his alpha hotness & that is KILLER. And his relationship with Perdita is so cute & funny!

Brooklyn... Loved seeing her come into her powers, her new "title", her adventurous side aka the things she "projected" to Nikolai... Those things were all a bunch of fun. I have to admit though, she annoyed me a tiny bit. I know she wanted to be #1 & come first (everyone in a relationship does, I get it, & it makes sense) but HELLO... you're in a slightly different situation from the norm here. Stop the whining, please, because you are totally awesome other than that!

Odds & ends... Perdita (Nikolai's dragon) was great. Loved Blythe & Keifer... especially that ovary-exploding moment in the hospital. The Fairy dragons were adorable. Skylar is sweet- totally want more about her! And... the other dragon riders remain a mystery that I just can't wait to unravel... especially Ian.

OMG, that epilogue... told through Ian's POV... WTF is going on with Farrow?! I'm confused & have so many questions about that situation he created BUT... bring on Ian's story. Farrow can go pout in the corner while Ian gets his happily ever after. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars In the Middle 25 October 2016

Don't let me mislead you here; I loved this book. That being said, it's no where near my top LLV stories. We were left with a bunch of questions at the end of the first book in this new fantasy series, so I was really looking forward to Nik & Brooklyn's story. While I liked their story, I feel like we never really got to know them, both as individuals and as a couple. Which was really odd seeing as a good chunk of the book they were alone with each other. I found that the things that I loved in the first book were absent here, especially the build up to their first mating encounter. That was super hot in Blythe & Keifer's story and I really missed it here.

That being said, what I got to know about these two I did love. I just wanted more. But that's the thing with one of your favorite authors. Whether it be 100 or 500 pages, you will always want more. But I'm such an addict to LLV's writing, I will take whatever I can get as soon as I can get it! I absolutely loved how headstrong and self-sufficient Brooklyn was. She'd been under thumb her entire life and wasn't about to take it anymore, especially from her mate. I loved her tenacity and how she fought for those she loved, even to her own detriment. More-so, I loved how she found her own place in this new world so easily.

As I look through reviews posted for this story, I find it funny how many Keifer haters there are compared to Nikolai. After reading this book I am still firmly on Team Keifer. I believe Farrow's book is up next, so I look forward to seeing if that streak can be beat. There are endless possibilities of where she can take this series next, and as always, I'll be the first in line to snatch them up!
