This book just makes no sense. It felt like it was missing pages and I kept reading waiting for explanations and background or something to make sense but it never came.
The action is always explained after the fact. There's unnecessary detail about really mundane things but zero detail about key aspects of the story.
Like the dragon rider Merrick is compelled to act by something called a geis. This is never explained, never mentioned until after the fact, never given context.
This happens constantly, there's just no context given. It's never really told what a dragon rider is, why they don't know anything about mating bonds, who the Purists are or why the Amish are looking to murder Brooklyn.
Just so much missing information, I'm really annoyed it's ended without answers. Definitely not reading any more of this author's work.
Not 1 star bad but not worth the time either.

So happy that these two mated, even though Brooklyn was not aware of that fact in the beginning. So much happens in this book, much like the first oneI would definitely recommend both and I am very excitedly looking forward to the next instalment:) I'm leaning towards Ian's story but I could be wrong.

This book was perfect for me. It had the right balance of humour, sass and of the scales hotness!! Oh and dragons on top of that too!
Firstly one thing that had me in absolute stitches is the little thoughts/texts at the start of each paragraph. One of my favourites has to be from Nikolai;
When someone asks if you do any dangerous sports, saying 'sometimes I disagree with my woman' is not a good answer. At least not if your woman is in the room with you.
I can't tell you how long I was laughing but I can tell you I had tear rolling down my cheeks I was laughing that hard.
I adore Lani's characters and the way she writes them. They feel like people you already know and have known for a long time, almost like family and that suits because there are times while reading that you could quite happily bang the brothers heads together. However the way they get with their mated partners is enough to make any woman's loins throb! I love the fact the women are strong and won't back down from the men. Brooklyn and Nikolai has just as much chemistry as Kiefer and Blythe. I loved the pair together, they made me laugh so much.
This book, well series came at the right time for me. I have been struggling to read anything and Lani is making me fall in love with reading all over again!

A sure fire hit from Lani Lynn Vale...

Dragon's Need Love, Too picks up just as the first books ends with Nikolai rescuing Brooklyn from a living hell that began during I Like Big Dragons and I Cannot Lie.
Nik is the brother of Keifer, the new Dragon King, and Brooklyn is the best friend of Blythe (who is Keifer's mate).
The relationship between our leading couple started very differently than expected and made for some interesting and emotional reading. Nik is quite a different character from his brother but when it comes to his mate he's just as passionate and protective about her. Brooklyn has had a very untraditional upbringing and to find herself mated with a Dragon Rider comes as a bit of a surprise to her to say the least, especially when she finds herself nigh on confined to their compound and unable to go back to her 'normal' life.
Brooklyn and Nikolai were a great couple. They had a real connection (even though neither of them fully understood it all to start with), they had some fab banter that had me laughing often and they were hot AF when they got together.
This book was action packed. It was primarily about Nik and Brook but it also covered the continuing battle with the Purists that Brooklyn's uncle Joseph was a huge part of in book one - this one still has a ways to go - it also focused on the new Dragon King and his mate and everything going on with them at the moment (no spoilers from me, in case you haven't read book 1 - but why wouldn't you have??). We find out more about the Vassago boys 'Dragon Rider brothers', especially Ian, who I can't wait to read more about, we met up again with some of the Sanctuary dragons and are introduced to a few new characters. I'm really looking forward to finding out more about Sklyar, Keifre & Nikolai's sister but I'm not yet feeling the love for Farrow who is their younger brother - but I'm hoping that LLV can change my mind when it comes to his story.
Well written, engaging, entertaining and a definite recommended read, Dragons Need Love, Too is another great installment in the I Like Big Dragons series and a sure fire hit from Lani Lynn...

I loved how Brooklyn is so ballsy. She not one to back down. To anyone! Making her a good strong character that's perfect Nickolai. I like the fact that the bonded come into powers too. Brilliant thoroughly enjoyed it.

I didn’t read the first book but I really enjoyed this different take on dragons, and their magic. I enjoyed the story and plot, the characters are great and I enjoyed the character banter, some seriously hot love scenes, lots of angst, overall a good read.

The storyline was great and the character dynamics was fantastic. It was well worth reading. I loved how the characters have grown from the last book to this one, I have brought the next one and am about to start that. Thank you LLV ❤️
