Product Description

Part of the Fated & Forbidden Collection. Each book stands alone. Read about Allendra and the story that starts it all in The Challenge by Kallysten via instafreebie

Dragon shifter Wayrian just wants to live a quiet life. Fat chance of that when her clan is at war and her grandfather wants her to marry a prince. As if that isn’t enough, a crazy goddess appears in her dreams and threatens to turn her clan human if Wayrian doesn’t marry her fated mate by the Blood Moon.

A mate who is not a prince.

Who isn’t even a dragon.

Despite being lured away from his father’s cattle station by the excitement of the dragon shifters, Chase is careful to keep his distance. He’s happy to help out by waking one of the dragon princesses, but he isn’t planning on mating forever—even if Wayrian thinks that’s the only way to save her people. He doesn’t believe in true love, he’s been burned before.

But when a reporter bent on exposing the dragons' existence drives Chase and Wayrian into hiding on the cattle station, things between them begin to heat up. The only problem is that Wayrian’s grandfather, hiding with them, is determined to keep them apart at all costs. Will Wayrian risk her grandfather’s ire to save her people, or will she make her own choice?

I really enjoyed this book. Chase is a fair dinkum kinda guy who is perfect for Wayrian. Wayrian really needed to find her footing in the world and run with it. With Chase as he inspiration there's little else to it but fireworks!

5.0 out of 5 stars I liked the fact that it was a human man 29 April 2017
By Shirley Foster - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I really couldn't put this book down. I liked the fact that it was a human man, Chase, that was the forever mate of a female dragon, Wayrian, although he didn't know it and neither did she. Wayrian also has a very bullying Grandfather, Ostrian, elder of the clan (thinks he's the only one who counts), who is very strict, old fashioned and hates humans. He does not believe in interaction of any kind between the two worlds.

Wayrian's Rian clan has many human friends as most believe they can help each with technology from one and magic from the other. Ostrian is very opposed. There is also an enemy clan led by Ultrima who lost the last battle due to Chase who used fireworks to scare them and defeat.

There are three Princes who have been asleep hundreds of years. One, Taurian, has been awakened and betrothed to Wayrian, but instead married his true mate a human, Karla. Ostrian is outraged and more determined than ever that Wayrian should marry a Prince. Now it is time to waken Verrian. Ostrian is determined to push Wayrian forward so the Prince after he is awake will see her and be enamoured.

The clan and the human friends caravan to where the Prince's chamber is, they prepare to start the awakening ceremony when they are attacked by Ultrima. Wayrian and Ostrian take refuge in the back of Chase's fireworks truck. Ostrian cowers in the corner, while Chase is shooting the fireworks and Wayrian who is beginning to have feelings for Chase stands by him.

After the battle the real story begins. A known reporter is spotted on the way to the site. The woman chosen to wake Verrian has to stay in the chamber with Verrian while everyone takes off. They will get together after the reporter gets tired of trying to get a story proving there are Dragons. Ostrian and Wayrian are with Chase. He has no choice but to take them to his ranch in the Outback for their safety.

There they have to face Chase's father, learn about the ranch and of course each other. All while Ostrian fumes about being beholden to humans.

I fell asleep holding my Kindle, when I woke up I had to start reading again. Not much sleep that night.

I can't wait until I have the opportunity of reading another book in this series. You'll like them too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Standing up for what is right 15 February 2017

Since the death of her parents, Wayrian has been raised by her grandfather Ostrian, who is also an elder. Putting fear into her anytime she wanted to do anything other then what he wanted. Always in his mind for the betterment of the clan.
A Wayrain has a dream that says she must mate her true mate soon or all shifters near will be turned human.
Chase is a human dragged into the dragon world by his friend Lisa. On the day that Lisa is to wake a Prince from his slumber of three hundred years, is the first time Chase really notices Wayrain. But due to a fight and a reporter everyone scatters. Chase ending up taking Wayrain and her disapproving grandfather back to his family's homestead.
Well written self-contained story that was entertaining to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dragon's Cowboy ~ Fated & Forbidden ~ Book 3 26 February 2017
By Jane Jones - Published on Amazon.com

Wayrian a young female water dragon finds she is in conflict with her Grandfather's wishes. In her dreams a Goddess comes to her and tells her that her fate is with her fated mate and not with one of the Princes of the clan that is her Grandfather's wish her to mate with.

Her Dragon's Cowboy is Chase a human and he has been helping the clan and saved them in the last fight with the fire dragons. The story is sweet and both of them quickly learn the true meaning of trust. It is a lovely fantasy love story set in the Australian Outback.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great! 18 March 2017

I am so invested in this series. Dragons were living in the Australian outback of all places. Unbeknownst to humans until one day a woman stumbled upon a sleeping man. An Elder amongst the dragons, Ostrian plans on having his granddaughter mated to a dragon, not just any dragon though, a dragon prince. Wayrian can't seem to win an argument with the old one, unless she wants to be accused of being selfish and against her clan. Why won't Ostrian let her live her life? She's an adult.
This story has bullying, another clan of dragons as enemies and an old know it all who gets on everyones nerves!
5.0 out of 5 stars Really Enjoyed This Book 29 March 2017

Dragons, 300 year sleeping princes and princesses who need to wake up, a dragon war, and they have been found. The humans who found them and are helping them seem to be true mates to some of the dragons. But the elders don't want the dragons to mate humans and in the time the princes have been asleep the world has changed. They need the humans to help them understand this new age but the dragons can use their different magics to help the humans. Sounds like a good plan to me if there wasn't so much against them. Wonderful HEA ending.
