Product Description

Product Description

General Zala Shaylinor has led her troops against the dragons since they first invaded her homeland. Respected by her soldiers and wielder of a powerful storm blade, she’s a dedicated warrior who would never seek out love in the middle of a war. All she wants is for her people to be able to walk the world without fear again.

But when a captured prisoner turns out to be a dragon magically chained in human form, she finds herself noticing his striking violet eyes and his powerful presence. Surely, he’s more than the lowly captive he seems.

The dragon, who only offers the name Talon, promises to help the humans strike a blow against his leaders, one that could turn the tide of the war. Zala's troops suspect a trap, and her unusual interest in the prisoner makes them question her leadership for the first time. Talon claims that all he wants is his freedom in return for helping.

Dare she risk losing her troops’ hard-earned respect? Dare she trust a dragon?

Warning: Dragon Bond is a fantasy romance and contains mature sexual content.

As usual Ruby has shown that yes you can write a fantasy book with enough hot bits in it to get you hot and bothered AND still have a gripping story line. This book is set up to be the first of a series (which I am looking forward to read!)

This is not an alpha male/weak female book, oh no it is not. The heroine is strong and attractive, not stupid or vain. Not your top-of-the-line bombshell beauty. She has brain, she has guts and she is the more so attractive because of this. The hero is hot and sexy with moral and some solid backstory to it. The naughty bits... enough to keep you hot and bothered but not too much that it become a yawn-fest..

IF you have read Lindsay Buroker's Dragon Blood series, you can see some similarities in a sense of that there are dragons, swords capable of killing dragons, dragons that can shapeshift and talk telepathically, great action sequences and top-notch banters. That is pretty much where it ends though. This is more like a parallel world where there are way more dragons and they are not all nice dragons...

If you like the Dragon Blood series, I would definitely recommend this book. (If you haven't read it but like this book, then please do read that series too!)
