Double Betrayal by Ada Frost is book three of the Surviving Series that can be read as a standalone. It's told in dual POVs with a HEA for the couple, but ends on a cliffhanger for the series.
Emily Richards has known heartache. And at the young age of 18, her world was turned upside down when the love of her life committed the ultimate betrayal. Ever since, she's kept her heart under lock and key. Until him.
"I had once lived a dream and suffered through a nightmare."
Willem Senior left the states after being with the love of his life for 20 years and discovering the entirety of his marriage was a lie. With his heart shredded, he headed for the UK to visit his brother. He never thought he could be happy again with his heart ripped from his chest. Until her.
"I feel like my heart beats with the sole purpose of loving her."
Pasts are exposed. Souls are bared. Hearts break. Love heals. But is it all enough? Can past betrayals be overlooked and forgotten to allow love in?
"This is all of me, for you."
I loved this book so much I don't even know where to begin! Em is sassy, charming, and beautiful. She works hard to provide for Izzy and herself, while still struggling to make ends meet. She thrives off the love of her baby girl, but soon realizes after meeting. Will that maybe, just maybe, she needs the love of another as well. I couldn't help but want to wrap her in a hug and be her best friend. She's charming and witty and I couldn't help but like her.
Will is possessive and loving and oh so hot. He is so sweet and beyond protective of his family. And when he meets Em, then Izzy, that sweetness and protectiveness multiplies tenfold. Leaving him to realize maybe he can love again, and more deeply than before. He is the definition of swoon worthy. The perfect combination, a lethal combination, of dominant, possessive, sweet, and a filthy mouth to boot. Gosh, I fell hard for him.
Together the passion is instant and explosive for Em and Will and they can't seem to get enough of each other. And I couldn't help but hope for their ever after. They love deeply, passionately and fiercely. And they melt your heart along the way. Em and Will make you believe in love, in lust, and in happily ever afters.
Double Betrayal is a heartwarming and heart wrenching story of angst, betrayals, and a love so deep and fast it leaves you breathless. From the prologue I was hooked, line, and sinker. I bubbled with excitement. I cried with heartache. I laughed out loud. I loved wholeheartedly. There wasn't an emotion left unfelt. Each word was a decadent mix of beauty, passion and pain. And let me tell you Double Betrayal is just as steamy as it is beautiful. The lust and passion ignites the pages, melting you on the spot. Keep the tissues, chocolate, and a glass of wine nearby. The tissues for the tears, the chocolate for the heartache, and the wine for the passion.
The beauty, the love, the passion, the pain breathed life into the book because of the beautiful words of Ada Frost. She has this amazing ability to write these beautiful words that make you laugh one minute, having you crying the next, then having you melting because they are so hot. Oh so hot. She knows how to bring the heat and the passion. She knows how to make you swoon, love, and hurt all in the matter of a few pages. It's breathtaking. She takes this story and brings it to life with her words. With her heart and soul that are so clearly poured out and bared on each page. This is a must read!
