As their relationship grows, Hayley’s torn between staying in the small town she’s made her home, and moving to the big city with Drew. An emergency situation sees her on his doorstep, and Drew’s reluctant to let go.
Especially with the attention she’s attracted from an unwanted source—one who’s used to getting his own way.
The second book in the Copper Creek story also features the continuing story of Adam and Lily. Adam’s demons are never far way, and his past still has the ability to hurt them both. Contains content warning on copyright page (see look inside)

About the authors
Ariadne Wayne loves books and lives in Auckland, New Zealand with her husband and two children. Having always had a prolific imagination she now writes the words down instead of storing them in her head where she can't share them.
When she's not writing she works in Telecommunications, frequently banging her head on the desk with the random things that can happen to the ordinary phone line.

Wendy Smith published as Ariadne Wayne for three years before deciding she didn’t want to be someone else all the time. She’s an Amazon, Apple Books, and Nook bestselling author, whose book In the End, written as Ariadne Wayne, was named one of Apple’s best books of 2017. All her stories come with a quirky sense of humour , and she cries over everything.

Not quite sure about the compound situation, very alarming.
I liked the beginning and how things played out. Baby and mother saved and the cheating girlfriend caught out.
Both Drew and Haley clicked on first meeting and knew they had something special, they had sex that first night, so there must have been something between them.
Did laugh at the foot in mouth of Drew.
These two had to work to be with each other due to the distance between their respective jobs and homes.
I also loved that Drew's brothers stepped up to help and protect Hayley.
Though I did find Hayley just a bit ridiculous in her reasons for breaking up with Drew.
Her own mother is just as controlling as Drew’s, so she should understand not to let her words hurt. At least her mother turns out okay after acting so nastily.
We get some continuation with Lily and Adam’s story.
Adam is still being a stupid idiot and hurts Lily again when he turns to his ex girlfriend for help, rather than talk to Lily about his PTSD flaring up.
Lily suffered something just as awful, if not actually worse than Adam’s service trauma.
Loved the arrival of baby Rose and Max’s reaction was so true to life.
New author for me and read in the box set through Kindle Unlimited.
Drew and Hayley meet through Adam and Lily and their connection is an instant one. Their relationship, whilst long distance, is honest and loving from the get go.
Despite some potential challenges to they relationship, they faced them together and found their happily every after.
With re appearances from Adam, Lily and Max as well as Owen and Corey, I loved this book and it's left me ready for the next book in the series.
