I should not of purchased season 2. Season 1 was so very good, yes it was! All of the players were good in the first season. Season 2 well here is what I have to say. First I agree with the other reviews. I am afraid to purchase Season 3 when it comes out. I probably won't buy it. I know this isn't a real life show even though people do indeed go through broken hearts and cheating spouses who father children with other woman while married to another.
I understand being hurt surely I do but Dr. Foster could not let go. She could not let 'it' go. How about these scenarios. Here are a couple or a few. She could of had her hurt and let time do its thing, bless her cheating husband and his young wife and their baby daughter, wish them well and say to________to the all of them. The two of you deserve each other. Then add to it a Bye Felicia or Bye Erica then go on and start her life anew by selling the house and moving to a new community. She didn't have to move out of town but to a different community away. Start a new clinic with all new employees. Sooner or later she surely would have found a new someone who would of been much better to her and for her. She and her husband could of shared custody of their son. The suppose to be friend who worked in the clinic with her wasn't a friend at all, not at all! Remember she knew about the husband's affair and pretty much aided and assisted him being able to cheat. The hold inner circle of characters helped him cheat on Gemma. All of them did except the black girl. Then in Season 2 again the suppose to be friend from the clinic the one who got married told Gemma that she wasn't going to the welcome back to the community party the husband and his young wife had at their new expensive home. As Gemma walked the room there she was right there in the mist. She truly wasn't a friend. What's the saying? With a friend like her Gemma didn't need an enemy. Not at all. That's one scenario.
or Try this one. Sell the house move to a new community, start a new practice. When the son moved in with his father and his new bride. Let him. Let him do just that. Wish him well as well with his dad and his new step mom and see him when he wanted to be seen. Don't sweat fighting over him. If she saw him fine if not fine. Some times even with your children you have to love them from afar. She didn't need to worry about him. With his father he had a really nice roof over his head, food, transportation. He would not of been homeless or anything like that. If he wanted to see her fine if not I would not of lost sleep over him. He had become two handfuls in Season 2. Why invite someone to keep hurting you even 'if' it's your child. Gemma could of at least given the school teacher the time of day. May be their relationship would not of made it to the altar she didn't even try to see if it would have. She was so wrapped up into her ex husband and his wife. The teacher liked her. She didn't even try with him. Dr. Foster just would not let it go. It was tiring to watch. Now I must mention the neighbors from across the street. When the male neighbor from across the street was at the table having the so called meeting with Gemma's husband the lady that came over to the table, she and him compared or showed their wedding rings to one another. They ended up having sexual intercourse. (implied) That didn't even have to be in the episode. Why was that even in there. It didn't even fit and in Season 1 when Gemma had sex with him (the male neighbor from across the street) she told him she was black mailing him by doing so so that he would get her husband's business information. I didn't get that. It was her husband she inquired about so his financial information was her financial information all she had to do was simply ask about it. She didn't have to have sex with him then threaten him that she would tell they did to get the information. I didn't understand the writing of that scenario. I guess in the end his wife the female neighbor from across the street who taped Gemma's moving boxes up may-be she was the only one who got it in the end. She said enough of this, enough of all of this and enough of all of you and went on her way. She washed her hands to all of them. As for the young wife and her family her mother and father and in the end her god father too they were all pitiful as well. They didn't realize it but they were paying someone to love their daughter. Season 2 just wasn't good. It wasn't even fair. Season 2 just wasn't. It wasn't! I own Season 1 and Season 2. Season 1 I will keep but Season 2 I probably won't ever watch it again. It was entirely too much. I may donate it to a flea market, let a store sell it for a penny. Better yet I'll donate it and ask them to just give it away. I can't even give it away. I'll have to let someone else do it for me. Just awful! Oh yeah I forgot to say something about the son. Well honestly if he wasn't in Season 2 I would not of missed him. They could of just mentioned his name here and there. I still didn't really understand what he supposedly did to his classmate. This season was all about Gemma and her ex and their craziness. I know this show is not real and for entertainment purposes only but what is the saying in real life that no matter your status, class or education when it comes to a woman finding out that her man has another or has been with another we all act the same way and that way is Ghetto! Gemma was a physician but when she discovered her husband had another we see how she acted. When she found out her husband had a girlfriend 'and' that she was younger 'and' younger and pregnant she really showed herself. She showed herself at the dinner table, at the dinner table of her husband's girlfriend parent's home, broke her oath and told her patient medical business. Who should not of been her patient in the first place. Because of the situation the broken heart woman in her out weighed the professional woman. Her broken heart took over. That's really the bottom line of her actions. She was hurt. Her heart was broken. What will Season 3 be about? I won't know. After viewing Season 2 and being disappointed I won't be tuning in. I know one thing I will read the reviews for it first. Season 1 was so good. I took for granted that Season 2 would be as well I jut bought it without reading reviews. If the Reviews for Season 3 are good I may buy it. It doesn't air here in the states so we'll see what the people say about it but man was Season 1 good!! Yes it was.
