A SEAL team, who last posting was in Guam, before being discharged, stumbles upon a cartel deal gone bad. They steal the diamonds, planning to fence them later for retirement. The cartel has found them. 1 is dead, and another has gone deep under ground. Another is sitting tight. Two are protecting a third, who seems to have found happiness, and has no knowledge she is being hunted.
A good story. Well paced and a little steamy. Like that the SEAL team had two women on it, which officially, there are no female SEALs, unofficially....
The dialog between characters is for the most part, is stiff and formal, and feels more British than American. The wedding ceremony and vows were entertaining. Love the double cross in the end.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I liked the story enough to buy a copy, which includes a few bonus stories. I am hoping there will be a follow up to this story. I think Gillian and Dillon are entitled to get some revenge in on Melanie and Jackson. Then there is Granger who was purported to have some mad computer skills, and was completely off the grid, were his former team members couldn't find him.
A second-chance romance for soldiers missing-in-action. Is it even possible?
Was I dreaming? Dalton was the one that got away.
I would give anything to be with him. One time would satisfy the itch.
Now he is dead.
Brent had me on a short leash. I’m about to marry him to keep my secret safe.
I knew they would be coming for their diamonds, and we had them.
My military training kept me alive.
A steamy night that left her completely satisfied but felt like a fantasy.
God, I wanted her! The facts were hard to ignore. The love I had was hidden for a reason.
I thought it was over. Our secret past had started to unravel.
That crazy night in Guam. We had to take the diamonds. Now we had to pay the price.
Could I keep her away from the line of fire? But how? She thought I was dead.
An fast-pace action-packed military romance
