Product Description

Killing isn’t exactly on Rosalie Lockwood’s list of things to do when she runs away from home. But, despite the search for peace, guns and motorcycles become her latest fashion accessories as Divine interference leads her to Steele, co-leader of the Fallen Paladins motorcycle club.

Leathered and tattooed, Steele’s presence scares off most people he comes in contact with—but not Rosalie. She’s immediately drawn into the dangers of his biker world—and into his heart.

But Steele guards a secret that if Rosalie knew, could shatter their new love—and destroy the human race. And the truth comes at a price.

Will Rosalie risk her soul to prove her loyalty to Steele?

The Dark and Light Realms collide as Rosalie chooses between life, death, and the ever-after to become that which she is fated to destroy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Rounded up to 4 18 December 2013

I was all over with my rating with this book. Honestly it could be a 3 too. Hard for me to decide.

Its a paranormal romance book. The paranormal is more of a setting aspect. It really doesn't have much effect with the characters. Maybe it will change in future books but in this one the paranormal aren't any different than normal people.

There isnt much action until the end. The story moves along slowly. Most of it taking place in a small Colorado town. Steele isn't a bad character. I think the author tried to hard to make him the bad boy with a heart of gold.

Rose is a confusing character. At times she's smart, but most of the time she's foolish and short sighted. She was abused in her earlier teenage years but she's very trusting when her instincts tell her danger. Supposedly shes this strong woman but for most of it shes a damsel in distress. Steele rescues her like 3 or 4 times. Many times Rose made me groan in disbelief by what she does.

The ending really shocked me. It is why I will look for the next book. The author really kicked things into high gear and
it ended as well as it could have. I see a lot of potential for the future.

My Review: I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this book!!! I don't even know where to start! ..Rosalie, an abused girl runs away from her wealthy home only to get stuck in the middle of "Nowhere" in a deadly mishap.. Enter Steele, a rough , rugged biker coming by just in the nick of time to save her life! Is this Meeting by chance or by destiny? Ms. Collicutt gives us a paranormal tale of ultimate good verses evil... You don't know who to trust, those who you think are good.. may not be and those you perceive as evil.. well read and find out.. and the whole background of the Biker club and the life of bikers , the loyalty , the family, the pride and the BIKES!!! really cool! when you add in the Angel/Demon element all hell ..or heaven ... breaks lose.. who will be saved and who will be damned for eternity? This book is so magically written I can't wait for more!! I give this book 5 "Paladin Patches" and this book deserves everyone! WELL DONE!!!
3.0 out of 5 stars MC, yes....Paranormal, not so much. 14 January 2014

If your looking for the latest in paranormal with a nifty MC twist or if your looking for a new MC with cool paranormal aspect, then you might shop elsewhere. While the demon/angel aspect is presented it is in more of an after thought. They didn't have any amazing powers, there was no real world building with them in mind and even the ending was half hearted. The MC was represented but barely. You don't get a feel for the club, just an idea of the main members. I had some trouble connecting with the leads. Rose's background and trials through the story seemed directly contradictory to her innocent almost naive persona. She didn't feel like what you would expect from an abused Light Warrior...As for Steele, you really don't connect with him. It is alternating POVs but his mostly center around the conflict of Rose and such...you don't get any real in depth knowledge with either. It's kinda glossed over, actually a lot is just kinda glossed over. So why 3 stars? Because the writing itself was well done and while I will probably never read it again I didn't have to force myself to finish. I think if the author had focused more on one aspect or the other and really developed it, this story would be top notch, but as is it's only so so.

Story outline is basically, an abused girl is running away. She ends up stranded and picked up by a biker VP. The majority of the story is about her settling in, with the VP wanting her but pushing her away, and some cryptic comments about the others killing her. When it is finally revealed that she is an angel and he's a demon thing move quickly as she is put in danger by the other demons wanting to kill her but she is whisked to safety where it's glossed over her learning by her guardian on what it all means. Then she returns for our VP, is attacked and almost killed. There's some in/out/in/out of danger whiplash but it is a happily ever after....
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesomely good!!! 17 July 2014

I LOVED this story!!! I normally don’t start a review with that line but having just finished The Devil’s Flower…those were my exact thoughts! This is an amazing story of good versus evil…Angel versus Demon…While reading I couldn’t tell which side would win! There were many characters and each one was pivotal to the story. Some I loved and some I came to dislike intensely as the story progressed. Ms. Collicutt with her descriptive writing style paints a very vivid picture with her words and has the reader picturing each scene in their mind as if watching a movie. I could almost hear the motorcycles as they raced down the highway and smell the stale beer in the clubhouse.
I liken this book to The Sons of Anarchy meets the Demons and Angels who are on a head on crash with fate! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a different type of paranormal story because this one is just that…different…and in this case…different is a good thing! Thank you Lisa Collicutt for such an amazingly good story and I do hope there will be a book two out soon!

I really liked this book. I love motorcycle club books and love paranormal books so this book was perfect for me. I had to get used to Rosalie at first and eventually she grew on me. Loved Steele from the beginning.
