Product Description

In Destined for Infinity, a curious Westerner and seeker leaves his humdrum life and embarks on a mystical adventure to the Himalayan Mountains and is transported to a new and enlightening spiritual dimension.

Hidden deep within the religious practices of India exists doors that lead to various levels of reality. Few people outside these mystical circles have been able to access these layers. Adventurous Roman West probes the deep secrets of East Indian mysticism under the guidance of a spiritual master he meets in the Himalayas. Roman witnesses the amazing powers that mystics can achieve and undergoes some of the most unusual experiences of his life. Under the training of his spiritual guide, he gradually develops mystical abilities of his own and attains the sacred vision of the enlightened sages, ultimately entering the unfathomable realm of “infinity.”

Roman's peaceful life in the hills, however, comes to an abrupt end when he is thrust into battle with powerful, sinister beings from the subtle realm unleashed to kill both him and his master. His only chance for survival depends on his ability to arouse the spiritual strengths he has worked to perfect over many months of study. This takes the turns he least expects, until he is able to move forward into his future with more confidence than ever.

Stephen Knapp has studied the major Vedic texts of India and practiced yoga and the Eastern teachings for over forty years. He has traveled extensively throughout India and has taken over 15,000 photos of the numerous holy places he has visited. He has authored over a dozen well-received books on Vedic culture and its spiritual philosophy. He continues to write books, articles, and give lectures at various venues. More information about him and his projects can be found at: www.stephen-knapp.com, or at http://stephenknapp.wordpress.com.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Story: Great Spiritual Insight 19 September 2016
By Wendy - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This book does a great job of drawing you into Vedic philosophy by way of fiction. The story itself is well thought out. It starts off a little slow but picks up. Lots of action in the last half. It you like fiction and spirituality, this is a must read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice book describing Vedic Religious Principles/Philosophy 4 March 2008
By Robert Torzynski - Published on Amazon.com
This book is a fun read that seems (to my limited understanding) to provide a solid explanation of (Hindu | Vedic | Vaishnava) religion and philosophy. It is written in a novel format that makes it easy to read and does not leave the reader needing a break due to the heavy philosophical content. As a disclaimer, I am biased because I've read much of the material that Mr. Knapp provides at his website and through the Vedic Friends mailing list, but I do honestly believe that for anyone who's interested in God, the individual Spirit-Soul, and the relationship between the two, this book is well worth the read.

The comparison that I would make would be between this book and Carlos Castenada's books. This book, with a couple of re-writes could easily exceed the "wow" factor that sold Castenada's books. However, even though the production values of the book could benefit from some improvement, the ideas discussed within the story represent the pinnacle of Human understanding. In other words, even though this book is not perfect, it is fun to read and the ideas and concepts discussed are essential to Self-Realization.

3.0 out of 5 stars Teriffic Spiritual Novel ! Deserves to be made into a Graphic Novel 31 May 2013
By HarmonyBlogger - Published on Amazon.com
I agree with the earlier writer. The deeper concepts are nicely interwoven. TO ENGAGE AND CONNECT WITH THE GENERATION X & Y AND THE MILLENNIALS HE SHOULD HAVE THIS CONVERTED TO A GRAPHIC NOVEL ; and if interested : he should forward this novel to a phenomenal Indian Graphic Novel Company : http://campfire.co.in/

they might pick up this novel for their next Graphic Novel - they have produced a cool LORD KRISHNA GRAPHIC NOVEL
