Good first book in desert series introducting Lana and Ty. Grandma and her best friend conspire to finish the matchmaking they started long ago. Lots of unexpected action when intruders drop in. Recommend reading.
I started this series with Desert Wolf one of the HEA sequels to this story. So I got an introduction to Lana and Ty when I read it and what their future looks like. Then I went on to read Desert Hunt, the prequel. So picking up Desert Moon I had an idea of who Ty and Lana are. Desert Hunt had also given me a sense of the loss, loneliness and absolute responsibility under which Ty lived. What I didn’t have a clue about was that Lana had also been feeling the sense of loneliness and hopelessness in finding her mate.
Twelve years before a recently matured Lana visited the deserts of Arizona with her maternal grandmother where an elusive scent teased her senses with the promise of a future that never happened. Instead, she traveled home to the east coast with an overwhelming sense of loss. The daughter and sister of alphas she has learned well how to handle the irascibility of an alpha. So when confronted with an overbearing Ty she has absolutely no problem standing up to him or being the rock he needs to center himself. She’s also had her share of run-ins with rogues and has the scars to prove it. Lana is obviously a power to reckon with and no wilting violet of a princess.
Ty has been pining for a mate for twelve years as well. Having left to handle pack business he came home to a scent that rode the winds of the desert but proved elusive everywhere he searched. Having resigned himself to an arranged mating rather than the one fate intended, Ty has already had to deal with his father’s controlling efforts to force an unwanted mating. Now he finds himself irresistibly drawn to his enemy's daughter and with the threat of rogues no time to indulge. But fate finds a way of making time regardless of family feuds and rogues, maybe with a few bumps along the way but time none the less.
Desert Moon is a great wolf shifter story. I’m looking forward to reading the others in the series. Ms. Lowe has built an engaging shifter world with The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch series. *****Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions*****
12 years have passed since Lana first visited the ranch with her grandmother. When she was there she kept scenting the most amazing smell but could not pin it down. She thought she had found her mate but no luck. Ty has been pining for his mate ever since he came home from a trip and smelt her scent on the ranch. He has never been sure if it was a figment of his imagination and was under a lot of stress as the Alpha heir. His father had already tried to force an arranged mating and was giving Ty hassle. When Lana arrives with her grandmother for a visit again she knows Ty is her mate but he ignores her and fights against his wolf as Lana is a Dixon, his father’s enemy. When Lana is put into danger by a pack member will Ty see sense and claim his mate, even if she is a Dixon? Trouble is brewing in the background for the pack.

Just finished reading 'Desert Moon'... I really enjoyed it, once I started I couldn't put it down. It's a great start to what looks like it'll be an amazing series. Anna has written a tale embroiled in lust, angst, action, steam.... At times the characters made me want to throw something or even jump inside the story & shake them, but overall everything made perfect sense for them to act the way they did.
Lana's returning to Twin Moon Ranch 12 years after catching the sent, the Arizona desert calls to her in ways her home doesn't. Ty is next in line for the Alpha position & he's feeling all the stress that comes with being Alpha & not having a true mate, about 12 years ago Ty scents his mate but she's no longer around.
I loved how Anna brought the characters together, we get amazing details, desciptions & back stories. Also the interaction between Lana & Ty, all the dancing around one another & sassy back chatting from Lana, also knowing what an Alpha needs in his mate.... True mates are rare & hard to find, if you don't find your true mate you drain the life from the women you choose to take as mate instead, they don't last long. This is unique in the true mates department. I can't wait for book 2 of the series.
So excited to be starting another series by Anna Lowe! Having just finished her Aloha Shifters series I knew this would be a hard act to follow but it was great to find I really enjoyed this one too! There is no better feeling than starting a multi book series just knowing that hours of enjoyment lie ahead. Lana and Ty are great characters and Ms Lowe really brings them to life. Her writing is so descriptive you could almost be there! My favourite part of the book is where Lana joins in with Ty to howl at the moon, so good!

This is the second book in this fantastic, sizzling hot, fast paced series. It has just enough of everything - love and danger. I can really recommend this well written series as well as other series from Anna Lowe. Both lead characters are head strong and one can't help rooting for their blossoming love. I've enjoyed the audio too!
I loved this book, it's about two strong alpha personalities, who both believe they have lost their "fated" mates and given up one finding love. They find each other and discover the truth. I read this on K/U
