"The hallmarks of the book are its superb collection of colour images, probably the clearest I've seen in a dermatology text. The text itself is clear and concise. Diagrams are helpful as are the key points which are in a yellow box at the end of each topic. In conclusion, I would say this: go to your consulting room bookshelves, remove the 3rd edition and replace it with the 4th edition and make sure it is within easy reach. As we all know, about 20% of all consultations are skin related and you could be referring to this book every day!"

"The unique presentation of the book remains, utlising the design of double page chapters. This makes the book very readable and also easy to dip in and out of when used for reference...The text is very up-to-date and includes insights into possible future developments...The target audience is medical students preparing for their MRCP and MRCGP exams and specialist nurses. There is much competition in this field, but this is one of the best available and I highly recommend it."
