I love this series! The characters are amazing, and each book is unique with both storyline and MCs.
This book focuses on Ollie and Lennon who we have met briefly in the previous books. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot, but the reality of who the other is causes a few issues for them.
I loved the focus on Ollie's family - how they were so incredibly supportive and accepting of him being gay, but also tried too hard to push him into outing himself when he was in an industry that hadn't shown itself to be accepting. In an effort to avoid limiting his career, he had chosen to remain closeted, something his family didn't understand and mistook for him being ashamed. It wasn't until he met Lennox that he finally found someone that truly understood.
Their story was fun, heartfelt and enjoyable to read. I loved that the characters from the previous books all still play a part, some of them more predominant than others (like Damon who is Ollie's agent).
This is a book, and a series, that I would recommend, and I can't wait to read the nextbooks.
Ollie and Lennon are officially my favorites so far, sorry Damon and Maddox. I love a good fake boyfriend trope, and this was lovely and with love angst to go with it. I loved how supportive Ollie's family were, even if they didn't truly understand his issue till Lennon stood up to them and pointed it out. Lennon and Jet's friendship was adorable and I'm so freaking excited about his book, he was like an excited little puppy and the "negotiating" between the two was very amusing. The story was cute, funny and of course sexy, the low angst was great, there was an ex (Ash) who I didn't particularly like but he didn't actually cause the issues which was a nice change. The little cameos of Matt and Noah along with Damon and Maddox was cool and love how we still get the little i sights into how they are all going. Even though this is a standalone, I would highly recommended reading both Fake Out and Trick Play as they are all interconnected with the couple's appearing and other side characters popping in (Talon and Miller 😉). I can't wait for the next two books especially Jet and his guy who we meet in Deke. Thank you Eden for giving us this lovely story of Ollie and Lennon .
I love love LOVED this book! This book is quite different to the other books in the series and was a slower burn romance, and I thought it was perfect in every way! I really can not fault this book at all. There is an instant connection with the characters as they try to navigate how they feel for each other. This book is just amazing, and that cover!!! My favourite of the series so far for sure!
Lennon is a sports journalist. This makes him #1 enemy to jocks everywhere. We met Lennon in book 2 with Noah and Matt. Lennon speaks his mind, and he sticks up for things he believes in. He is a nerdy type of guy but that just adds to his appeal.
Ollie is a hockey star. He is just the sweetest guy, but he also has a broody side that comes out every now and then. His life is hockey but he is also harbouring a secret that he is too afraid to let out! And the piercings and tattoos are just.......HOT!
I love these two characters together, and this book just makes me giddy! It’s sweet, it is inspirational to those in the same situations. I just loved every second of reading this book. I love how the author makes every character feel so real to me. They all have their individual personalities which I just love. I also can not wait until the next couple of books come out because I just know they are going to be amazing!! If you love MM romances, I recommend giving this book and book series a go!
I loved this, I think Ollie and Lennon have become my new favourites in this series. Being closeted had already cost Ollie one relationship. What began as a fake boyfriend scene to get his family off his back, turned into a love / hate , back and forth relationship between Ollie and Lennon. Wonder fully written, with drama and angst of coming out. Looking forward to nextbook.
