ONLY THROUGH BLOOD CAN THE DEEPEST REDEMPTION BE FOUND…

He was born to ascend.
He was destined to lead.
He was never meant to fail.

Prophet Cain lies broken and defeated on the floor of his cell. A cell he has been thrown into by the one person who was supposed to stand by his side until the end. His flesh and blood, his only companion. His beloved twin brother.
Cain has sacrificed everything for his people. He left the safety and security of his life of study to infiltrate the infamous Hades Hangmen. He lived with them, rode with them, and then betrayed them. All in the name of a faith he can now feel slipping away from him. Like everything else he once held dear…

But then his isolation is broken. Another prisoner is brought to the cell next to his. A woman fighting her own demons and fears. A woman who Cain understands needs him, as he needs her.

As the connection between them grows, so does Cain’s resolve. He will right the wrongs he has done. He will atone for the evil acts carried out in his name. He will save the one he loves…
… Even if the battle takes him to the gates of hell itself.

Contemporary Dark Romance. Contains explicit sexual situations, violence, sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language, and mature topics. Recommended for age 18 years and up.

Words can not describe how amazing this was.
I was torn about reading this with what happened in previous books but I loved it!! Kept me on the edge of seat the whole time.
I won't give anything away, you'll just have to read for yourself how awesome this was.
Love this series and Tillie's way with words.

Tillie Cole is an amazing modern writer in my opinion. I have been both moved and horrified by this series. I don't know where Tillie gets her ideas from, but her writing is superior and her plots are bizarrely authentic. The pacing is perfect, as is the imagery.
I wondered how I would empathise with Rider/Cain (sorry that the review uses both names, but if you read the book, you'll understand.) Afterall, he's the cult leader of a crazy and vile sect and the betrayer of his Hangmen brothers. The beliefs of the order are mysterious, cruel and outrageous to us, but Cain was brought up to believe in it's sanctity. In this book, he gradually comes to realise the order's fallibility and massively, devastating errors. In turn, he realises his own.
It's a credit to Tillie's good writing skills that allows Cain's character to reach out to readers. How much guilt should he carry? How much forgiveness does he deserve? Can he ever be redeemed or can he only hope to redeem another?
While this book is facinating, it's complex and really makes you think and question. It is difficult to elaborate because any discussion here would disclose the plot. Needless to say, like the other three books it's dark, raw, violent and emotional. However, the details of the sect's behaviours are not discussed as graphically as previously, probably because it wasn't necessary after the prior reveals.
Admittedly, it is a tough read. I felt no hope at times and I felt deeply sad, too. However, it is ultimately a book of survival, consequences, sacrifice, resolution and love. It is also a book that belongs to both Rider/Cain and Harmony and it is told in a most insightful and dramatic style. Juxtaposed to this, the book has wonderful, gentle and poetic elements, too.

AMAZING! Absolutely freaking amazing is the only way to describe this latest installment of the Hade's Hangman series. Tillie Cole transports readers into a world that is not understood by many and delivers a raw and emotional read that shows that goodness does not always come in the form that you think. That loyalty, love and justice has no side of the law but what is within oneself. I cannot get enough of this dark romance series that delivers every time.

This review is a bit vague but I believe that this is a book that you need to go into blind and experience exactly what the characters are going through without any preconceived notion.

I will freely admit that I was not too sure that I could get into a book with Rider as the main character. Avid readers of this series will know the history between Rider and my beloved Hade’s Hangmen. So I was equal measures of intrigued and repulsed at the prospect of him being redeemed and finding his happiness. Yet the way that Tillie can create an emotional pull to her characters had me quickly changing my mind and turning me to be a Rider FAN.

Harmony was the breathe of fresh air when Rider needed it the most. With Harmony also coming from within the faith, this book took a bit of a different turn from previous books, where two were questioning everything that they believed in and finding their place in the world and with each other. Yet her strength, true selflessness and innate need to do what she believes is right bolsters this book. Her love and nature is pure.

Without a doubt there were moments in this book that had my heart in my throat and at one point I was convinced that I couldn’t go on. To say that I was confronted was an understatement.

DEEP REDEMPTION
Hades Hangmen, #4

He was born to ascend.
He was destined to lead.
He was never meant to fail.

I have been waiting with bated breath for this book for so long...but it was an uneasy feeling of anticipation...

For those of you who have read this series you will understand how easy it is for these Hades Hangmen to get under your skin and set up home!

But Rider...I HATED him!

I couldn't understand how Tillie Cole could write about him in a way that would redeem him in my mind!

How could someone go from being a 'rat' in the ranks to being someone I voluntarily wanted to read about?!

Someone I wanted to support and see conquer in the end?!

I was so unsure heading into this book!

But…I always knew there was so going to be so much more to him than meets the eye...especially in light of the ending in the last book where we witnessed the desperation of Judas with his sleight of hand by switching places with Rider.

But somehow, in some amazing way, the fantastic Tillie Cole has had me cheering for Rider!

She has had me sitting on the edge of my seat!

She had me hoping against hope that Rider survived the trials placed upon him in this book!!

He was so intricate and layered in many different ways...

The last book set the scene for his naivety in regards to the Lords Sharing's and especially in his inability to believe what happened to Mae - so much so, that I was dreading reading about how he could justify his actions in the past!
