I am sad this is the final book in the Broslin Creek series but I look forward to the next new series...
What can I say, the writing is outstanding as always. Ms. Marton has a way with words. Her storytelling is very detailed, thorough and not rushed, it is a page turner nonetheless. The plot moves along in a fast pace. The dialogs are witty and funny. There is enough humor in the author’s voice that you do not drawn in horror of the actual situation.
As much as I enjoyed it, I cannot go with five stars on this one and oh boy do I want to. Kate frustrated and annoyed me so much that I had to put my kindle down a couple of times to analyze her behavior and find an excuse for it... and I honestly feel that should have been done in the book. While at the end the reason for such behavior is revealed, first you have to get there. I finished this book two days ago and I am still trying to come to terms with how utterly frustrated Kate made me feel throughout the story. What I was missing is Her take on their relationship with Murph (who has a patience of a saint I must add). It is almost like everyone was so busy dealing with Azael, that the relationship issues got forgotten and Kate did not have a minute to analyze what was wrong.
With that said, I did enjoy the story. I always recommend the series and plan to re-read it again some time in the future. I will miss the Broslin world!
