Product Description

This is a guide that everyone who uses social media, buys online, or even has email!
Most of us either don’t keep track of our passwords and online accounts, or if we do, we keep that list passwords protected! This is all good and well to protect your information from theft, but who can access and close your accounts if something happens to you? If you were to die, how hard would it be for your loved ones to troll through your online accounts and close things down?
You may have automatic payments that need to be cancelled, you may have personal photos that need to be retrieved and saved, and you may have social media accounts that your family doesn’t want to become memorial pages.
This book is about leaving things as easy as you can for your loved ones, and understanding how quick and easy it is to do the right thing for the people you love most.
In an easy-to-ready format, Death and Social Media shows you how to plan and prepare for your online life to be managed in the event of serious injury or death.

About the Author

Jacqui Brauman is the principal solicitor and director of Theobald Lawyers Pty Ltd. She has a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Accounting, Advanced Diploma in Taxation Law, and a Masters in Applied Law (Wills and Estates). Jacqui is also the author of In Case of Emergency - a practical guide for young families in the event of injury or death. Practicing mainly in wills and estates, and property law, Jacqui's career of 9 years has taken her from Central Victoria to rural New South Wales, to Sydney, and back to the outskirts of Melbourne. Jacqui's primary focus in her wills and estate practice is to make sure young families know the consequences of not undertaking proper planning, and ensuring that their children are adequately protected, both physically and financially. Her message is simple: In a world of uncertainty, we cannot live with our heads in the sand. Instead, we can make sure that we don't leave a difficult mess behind us if something should happen. Then, hopefully, the plan never has to be implemented. But it's better to plan for security than try to struggle during grief and loss. Public school educated and raised in Wangaratta, Jacqui is married to Daniel Brauman who is a serving member in the Royal Australian Army. This live together with their blue-heeler at their property just south of Seymour. Together they do plenty of adventurous sports, including motorcycling, kayaking, camping, 4x4 and fishing. Jacqui also enjoys distance running and generally keeping fit.
