This is the second book in the Soul Justice series and follows on from where the first book ended. The storyline and well developed characters held my attention throughout and did not disappoint. Much of the action takes place in Otherworld and gives us more of Vadim's back story. The book is well written and does contain sex scenes, but then Kate Pearce does write a lot of erotic fiction. I would recommend reading the first book before this one. Highly recommended.

I wondered why the first book said next to nothing about the hero'sback story. Glad it was answered here. I do miss the days where a story like this would have been sold as ONE book and not two incomplete books if I hadn't taken a leap of faith and bought the sequel! Publishers and writers...damned irritating of you, so please stop doing that! Thank you.

It sucked me right in, and kept me turning the pages.Also very well written. I advise reading the previous book first -- "Soul Sucker".
