This is book 2 in the series of Viking Vengeance. Each of the three brothers stories is unique and interesting in their own right. There were definitely some different elements in this book that I have not read about in previous books especially how Konall deals with the curse. You discover about his days while he was captive by the arab traders. I recommend this book and the others but I would say it is best to read them in order for full effect ( Malice Striker, Death Blow, and Vengeance Hammer).
Cursed by the sea-god Ægir to be burned at the stake, Lady Nyssa seeks the one man who can save her--the warrior who bears the mark of the Saracen. When she finds a Viking warrior wounded and senseless on a beach, she knows he is her savior. But Ægir's wrath extends to others in her life as well. He's killed her father and stepmother, turned her stepbrother into a mountain lion, and imprisoned her people. And worse, he's cursed any man who lays with her to have his manparts wither and die.
Konáll has traded coin a-plenty to gain a wife with lands, the daughter of the King of Moray. He expects a refined, comely, trainable damsel, not a doomed warrior princess with the strength of a giantess who cannot bear the touch of a man. But once he learns more about this woman who speaks to talking mountain cats and hides as a peasant among the rabble, he cannot deny his feelings. There's more than one way to breech a maidenhead, and if teaching her the ways of a woman's pleasure with a carved ivory dildo is what it takes to make her his, then he's more than happy to challenge the wrath of a god...

Nyssa is cursed by a sea-god making it difficult for any man to make her his own, but Konall seems to be the one man up to the challenge and he is willing to help her reclaim her castle and lands, as well, but she fears once he knows the full extent of her curse he will cast her aside. This is a wonderful story that brings you even further into Norse mythology than the first story in this series and with a slight BDSM edge to it. The characters, as always, were very engaging. I hope we see more of Nyssa's brother, Mus/Ciarran, in the third book, or at least learn what happens to him. I look forward to reading the next book in this series, Vengeance Hammer, about Konall's brother Draddor! Awesome series!

I loved this book. It was really a page turner. I live the way it takes you on a journey in a time that was so far away from today's time. I've purchase all three book and hope there's a fourth.
