Really enjoyed this 2nd book in the series. The story twists around a murdered barman and his secretive life. Jeff and his brother Richard's relationship builds a stronger foundation of trust whilst visiting gay bars together during their investigation.
I find it refreshing to read about Jeff and his quirky life and his sixth sense - as with all the characters in this series, it's good to read about adults and not teens. So many of the paranormal books are written for young people which don't appeal to me. I have already downloaded the next book which is a novella and promises to be spooky!

Slow start but gets better. Relationship between brothers is an interesting element. Will have to read the next book now.

It was okay. I enjoyed the first one more than this and then the price jumped up after the first book (kindle editions) so I'm not sure I will read them all. Although I do like the characters and watching their relationships grow, I feel the plot was a little thin if I'm honest. A lot of repeated chapters covering the same ground as though the author 'thinks me a bit thick an that'. I want more mystery and plots that cover many possibilities. I'm not complaining too much though, it did 'kill' a bit of time

Brilliant supernatural thriller

If you love the first Jeff Resnick mystery you will equally enjoy this second in the series. Plenty of twists and turns. Thrilling from start to finish.

Gripping and different!

After receiving head injuries during a mugging, Jeff has developed a psychic ability to zone in on some people's emotions. This is the second one of the series, and I am enjoying them immensely. I have also read the 1st & 3rd in the series, where the 'whodunnit' is pretty complicated and gets quite thrilling towards the end. I'm looking forward to the 4th one.

Love the characters described in the Jeff Resnick series.L.L.Bartlett writes with great affection for the siblings, and is brilliant at writing crime novels with a psychic undertone, which although is totally enthralling,is never too deep to make the plot complicated.I have now read all six books in the series, and eagerly await a 7th??

Ending a bit poor
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 February 2017Verified Purchase
The book jogs along quite nicely. But the ending is I've with far too quickly. It seems that the author didn`t quite know how to end it so grabbed at the first available solution jotted down a few notes and that was it.
