USA Today and award-winning author Rita Herron fell in love with books at the ripe age of eight when she read her first Trixie Belden mystery. But she didn't think real people grew up to be writers, so she became a teacher instead. Now she writes so she doesn't have to get a real job! With over ninety books to her credit, she's penned romantic suspense, romantic comedy, and YA stories, but she especially loves writing dark romantic suspense tales set in southern small towns.

Rita Heron is a great story writer and I found it difficult to put down her books so I had a lot of sleepy eyes in the mornings. Start with book 1 (Pretty Little Killers) all about The Keepers - fabulous story.

There is loads of action, tension, suspense and drama in this fast moving and intriguing story. It is an extremely well written book and one I thoroughly enjoyed.
I love this book!!! I wasn’t sure at first. Wasn’t a fan of Marilyn in the last book and not a fan of pushy reporters. I’m so glad I took a chance. It was a great book. The mystery was so interesting I couldn’t put it down. I figured a few things out ahead of time but that wasn’t a bad thing. I will remember this book because it isn’t the same old, same old. From the killer to who one of the victims was. We always see/read the sexual Assault victims as females. While it’s always hard to read, it was good to see /read the male’s side. It happens to them too, yet you hardly ever hear about it. Ryker was a great hero and Marilyn was a great heroine once she thawed out a little. If I had one complaint it would be that I wish they were together in more scenes but not to big of an issue. I cannot wait for the next book!! I sure hope Carolyn gets her own book and we see more of Preston.
