I am so happy Megan Linski has delved back into the world of the Kingdom Saga! I was not ready to say goodbye to these characters, and being able to see them grown was a treat. The focus of this book are on the children of the original duo, now Queen Bennua and Sultan Zahid. We are first introduced to a new character of a princess from another land. Her name is Tanvi with abilities that I wish I had. How neat would it be to tell a tale and have it come to life?! Well, readers will get to see this in Dawn of Embers. Following along with Tanvi as she tries to pick up the pieces of her life after everything is taken from her, she finds herself in the kingdom of our original duo and she meets all of their children, most now grown to adults themselves. One particular man stands out to her, the eldest son of the king and queen, Prince Tamarik, who is known as the Mad Stallion of Ashana. I loved the interactions Tanvi has with all the characters, especially Tamarik, and I love how this story gives us all a glimpse into this world again.
