This is book 5 in the series, but they’re all standalones, so you don’t have to read the first 4, but why wouldn’t you? They’re so so so good!
When horse trainer Colby Hensley walked away from his family’s traditions, he never thought he’d be able to continue his relationship with Brielle Armstrong, the daughter of his father’s boss. They love they’d shared had been amazing, but he knew that a relationship between the two could only hurt her and his father. When he walked away, he didn’t look back. I mean, after what her father attempted to pull, I wouldn’t have either.
Brielle only knew that Colby walked away from his family, his job, and her. She didn’t know everything that happened, she only knew that he’d hurt them all. Now she has to be near him again for the Kentucky Derby. A horse he’d trained for a competitor is up against one of the horses that her father owns, and Colby’s father trained. Why does seeing him again hurt so much? When the two come together, Colby explained all. Now Brielle has to make a choice. Does she want to fulfill her hearts desire and be with Colby, even if it means leaving everything she knows?
The Dating Series has been, by far, my favorite reads of the year. I’ve devoured them all and can’t wait until the next one comes out. It’s already been pre-ordered. Both authors are amazing writers who have teamed up to write truly touching stories full of romance and with. Each story paints a wonderful picture, with witty, funny characters and a swath of romance that permeates your heart. A definite must read for all fans of romance.

Today was a beautiful day thanks to Heidi McLaughlin and L.P. Dover. I got to escape reality and head to the the Kentucky Derby. Mint juleps are optional but smiles will blossom. The story was a quick fun read taking me on a fantastic journey to a happily ever after.

A date for the Derby was the perfect second chance, wrong side of the horse track romance. Colby is a young horse trainer trying to make his way in the world of horse racing. When he left Armstrong Stables to train the perfect horse he lost his family and the love of his life, Brielle Armstrong whose father owned the stables.

Colby returns three years later as the trainer of Maximus, one of 20 horses in the Derby but it won't be easy. The drama created within the book is AMAZING. Tensions run high as Colby goes to event after event watching Brielle as Brielle watches him. Their love is forbidden. He could loose everything. She could loose everything. The question is, will Maximus win

Falling in love with a horse trainer who worked for her family was not part of the plan especially when he betrayed her and her family by leaving to work for their rivals.

Colby felt he had no alternative except to leave but that doesn’t mean he didn’t love Brielle. This book gave me all the feels. Colby and Brielle story was heart-warming and sad. To think of the love that stayed with them for five years could bring such anger and heat. Their dads should have been more ashamed but I guess in reality they were.

I am just going to say out of all these books from The Dating series I would love to see more from them and the supporting cast. This book can very well blossom into a wonder series of small town Kentucky. What do you say ladies?

Another amazing read that I really enjoyed. Brielle & Colby get a second chance and neither are willing to let go no matter what. Brielle & Colby are an enjoyable couple and I love there story. There ending was absolutely perfect. Another sweet but short read that I really, really loved.
