★★★★★ "This is one epic read that will send your emotions on quite a roller coaster ride of feels. " Goodreads Review.
When freshly divorced Anna Spencer meets Dan Darling, she doesn’t want to be another notch on the Rockstar’s belt. But the sexy and irresistible lead singer of the Darling Devils has already fallen in love and won’t take no for an answer.
What follows is five incredible days until Dan has to leave on tour. Despite the promise to come back to her, Dan soon wonders if what he feels for the redhead is a product of the mental disorder, he and his band have kept secret for years.
Breaking their love story before it really has the chance to start, Dan shows Anna that she should have never trusted him.
And when Dan realizes his feelings are the real deal, it is up to a very skeptical Anna to decide if she can be the girlfriend of a bipolar Rockstar.
Through swoon, laughter, and heartbreaking truths, Gabrielle G. writes a novel depicting love with a mental disorder, with an incredible story filled with all the expectations of a Rockstar romance.

Anna’s story was about struggling to overcome her past since finally conceiving after so many years only to lose her baby and then find her husband in his office having an affair with his current wife. Trust was a big thing and the idea she could never have a baby again.
Dan’s story was a look into the world of someone who was bipolar and trying to keep his stuff together especially being on the road. Their chance meeting had them both giving caution to the wind and seeing where this possibly went. It didn’t take long for things to fall completely apart.
The author did an excellent job bringing mental health to the forefront and doing it with a famous rock star. This book took me on one crazy ride having me turning pages as fast as I could. The ending to this book was a big surprise and one I won’t soon forget.
This was a wonderfully written book. It had enough of a story-line to keep you involved and some really sexy moments. There were also moments of genuine heart-break where you felt for both of the characters immensely, both due to outside forces in their relationship as well as their own baggage.
Dan Darling is a really good character and to say that he is flawed is an understatement, but it doesn’t deter from how much you really like him and are routing for him to get his act together. The fact that he has some amazing friend also help and it will be interesting to read their stories in the series.
This is a great story, with great characters. A must read for any romance fans.
ARC received for a fair and honest review.

2) the Epilogue letter from Dan. Unfortunately it killed my post book high by introducing facts about the characters future I didn't want or need to know. This, far more than reason 1, is why a gave it a 4. It kinda killed my buzz and as someone that reads HEA'S for the Endorphin kick, it was a bit of a let down.
Definitely a good Rockstar Romance. Definitely worth reading.

SPOILERS:
As for the story, two things I just can't stand about a book is 1- Instalove and 2- Sleeping with other people. The instalove in this case explained I suppose, and the sleeping with other people was when they were broken up, but really he texts Anna to say it won't work then bangs the flight attendant. Nope. Then there is the epilogue! What the heck was that! It's a good thing I didn't like the characters or that could have been pretty emotional.
I am giving this book 2 stars ONLY because the author took a risk to wrap this story around a serious mental condition. That was brave and it was done thoughtfully.
I won't be reading the other two books in this series. I wish the author luck in her future endeavors.

The H is a rocker who is also bipolar. He treats the h like crap. He breaks up with her via text then has sex with a flight attendant. After he dumps her, she has sex with another guy. Then the H reaches out to her and she takes him back. The story ends with the two getting married and then separating a couple of times but no divorce. Then the h dies of cancer.
The ending was a downer but I wasn’t enamored with the story or the characters.
Not for me.

Darling is a fantastic read about a woman who falls in love with a rock star who lives with Bipolar Disorder Type 2 bringing his impulsivity to a greater level than what is even considered the norm of a rock star god.
It's hard enough for Anna to open up to any man after her ex husband shattered her faith in men in general. Miscarrying and walking in on her husband cheating on her all in one day was enough for Anna to wall up her heart. Then Dan Darling happens along helping her in a tense moment with said ex husband and his second wife. Anna is thankful for Dan's assistance, but clear that she is not one of his groupies. Dan, who has felt a gravitational pull to Anna is determined to break down her walls and spend his time with her. Dan takes on the challenge of wooing a guarded Anna and his actions cause his buddies/ fellow band members to worry if he's nearing a manic episode.
With the Darling Devils going on tour Dan's bandmates encourage him to reassess his feelings/ actions and take steps to create a plan to deal with his impulsivity and his disorder. Dan also must break up with Anna in order to explore and assess whether his impulsivity and disorder caused him to feel like he loved Anna. Or was it truly instalove?
Darling is an engaging romance between two mature adults who both have baggage and must deal with their own feelings while figuring out how they can best have their happily ever after with each other.
The characters are endearing. I loved reading the dual POVs which gave us insight into what was going on in each of their minds. It's those thoughts and feelings that enthrall us.
I highly recommend Darling to readers who like rock stars, characters with mental health disorders, characters in their 30s/40s, or anyone looking for a fantastic read!
