What makes it hard for me to rate is, for example, the heroine was naive and kept throwing her body and heart at the hero even after some of the crappy things he did. It was frustrating, but at the same time it seems like it was the only way she could have won him over, so it worked. I wouldn’t read it again, but it was an engaging read. The first book of the series is still my fav.
Mila is probably my least favourite of the three women. She's that bit too good, too naive, too pure but Danielle Lori weaves such a good story that it gets forgotten in favour of the storyline.
My main complaint with this book: I spent a ridiculous amount of time translating Russian sentences. I get the idea that Mila didn't understand but I want to know what I'm reading so an index of the non translated sentences would have been great
The book goes about, Mila who lives a sheltered life running away from home in Miami to Russia to meet her father after he claims to be too busy to come back home. From the moment she stepped foot in Russia, she sees people look at her weirdly and gets attacked by a male. Trying to escape from him, she bumps into the sexy Ronan – who did I mention is Christian’s brother?
From this moment onwards we see a push and pull happening between the two, Mila does not hold back with flirting with Ronan and from there we see how they have absolute chemistry to die for.
Ronan was an alpha male, he didn’t show much emotion but when it came to Mila, he expressed it through the only way he knew, which was so adorable. Ronan’s thirst for revenge was side-tracked when he saw Mila’s innocence, he didn’t completely let go of the revenge he planned but had put it on hold. Some may argue that Mila had developed Stockholm Syndrome but honestly lock me up with Ronan and you best believe that I was be falling hard on this man.
Mila on the other hand was someone like an immature girl who didn’t see the real world until she left her bubble and met the Russian mobster Ronan. Though I loved her bubbly character, she lacked the ability to see wrong from right, until she realised how serious her life is going to get after she saw Ronan go all notorious when cutting a captive’s finger. Though she still craved him like a drug after she saw all his bad, she accepted his dark side as she knew deep down he had a heart of gold.
Overall, this book is a big massive YES for me.
This story has it all innocence, brutality and desperate love an unwavering belief in inner goodness a honesty in their journey for forever
Hot hot hot
So good more than 5 stars

If I ever question my taste in men I’ll just have to remind myself mila got with her kidnapped who tossed her outside with the dogs in the cold, slapped her, and so many more thing. But of course towards the end I started getting giddy cause he’s was starting to fall In love and he was doing all these sweet gestures but with all the nico is still my fav
But he was so incredibly sexy and made Mila dance to his tune from the beginning.
Please read this latest instalment in the series. You won’t regret it.

But she craves something else, there's something missing. To find out where she came from, to take her back to her homeland... Moscow ...... Russia.
There she meets Ronan.
I didn't enjoy this as much as The Sweetest Oblivion and The Maddest Obsession
which are 2 of my favourite reads this year. But in saying that it was still was an enjoyable read.
Mila made stupid decisions, she wasn't as smart as the other women in this series but I warmed to her more as the story progressed.
Ronan was Ronan, everything you would expect from a alpha, possessive Russian.
Danielle Lori writes the best flawed alpha men characters.
She's a new author for me and I'll definitely be looking out for the last one in this series and others.
Mila and Ronan were like pure sunshine and killer grump opposites-attract enemies-to-lovers and I was here for it! I loved Mila and she was such an easy character to root for. I did think she was a little frustratingly naive at the beginning but it doesn't take long for me to love her when she's an animal-loving ray of sunshine who wears her heart on her sleeve. Her striking up a friendship with the most injured and almost rabid dog (literally) in the compound was a little cliche, and her rescuing animal moments were definitely Belle-esque, but I can't say I loved it any less! When it came to the romance, it was very insta-lust as Mila finds herself fangirl crushing on Ronan and his hand tattoos. I'm officially naming Danielle Lori the queen of sexual tension because the whole build-up was once again *chefs kiss!* Although they have a lot to overcome I do think that their relationship evolved believably and even when they hated each other their physical chemistry was undeniable and the tension only amped up with their barbed banter! Needless to say, things got pretty steamy and it was hot! 🔥
The latter half is when the enemies-to-lovers part kicks in because Ronan becomes so easy to hate and Mila's good feelings towards him very understandably burn to ashes. It was also at this point where I got pretty uncomfortable with some of the things that Ronan does (CW/TW: dub-con, non-con, revenge p*rn) and I honestly wasn't sure if he'd be redeemable. Mild spoiler: Ronan was a tough hero to like because there's morally grey and then there's Ronan who treads the line of being just plain bad. That said, my icy feelings towards him melted alongside Mila's and by the end, I thought he was alright. He has the filthy mafia hero persona down to a tee and although I wouldn't exactly say his "softer" side was very soft, I still loved the moments of vulnerability that we see from him.
The ending was also a bit of a surprise as I didn't expect it to go that way and if I'm honest, it was a tiny bit anticlimactic...? But it was a very satisfying HEA (and of course, there's a HEA)!
Everything about this books was perfect to me. Well actually i would have preferred more spice 😁 but story-wise it was perfect.
This is not a book for people who like light hearted and morally perfect love stories. It’s dark with lots of angst and betrayal. But my favourite part about this book was the dynamic between Ronan and Mila.
Ronan is dark and twisted and jaded and at times very bad to Mila. And Mila is a ray of sunshine and perfect and kind to everyone but at the same time she’s constantly sparring with Ronan and doesn’t take things lying down and i LOVE that.
When the girls are and very docile and tame, Mila has some fire in her. It just so happens that she also has a kind heart and is a lovable person.
But not as much as my shadows.”

This was hands down my most anticipated release for 2020. I'm happy to say that Ronan and Mila have a special place in my heart and this book is going straight to my all-time favorites shelf.
TDT has given me my favorite female character in Mila Mikhailova. She is soft and sweet with a heart of gold but don't be fooled- she stands up for herself and is Ronan's match in every way. I loved seeing the world through her eyes and her character development by the end of the book was amazing. Words can't express the love I have for her.
Ronan has to be one of the most interesting male characters. He's an antihero- ruthless and rough, even cruel at times. However, we also got to see his vulnerabilities and his soft spot for Mila. Ronan doesn't know what love is and I loved watching him come to terms with his own emotions and feelings- things he hadn't experienced before Mila.
TDT is definitely darker than the previous books but it's also balanced out with Mila and Ronan's personalities- they are polar opposites but being funny is one thing they have in common. They are definitely going to have the most hilarious kids one day. I adore them both so much!
One of my favorite parts of the book is the banter between Mila and Ronan. They have the best chemistry I've ever come across- at times their interactions is funny, at other times it's very intense. From the very first meeting, they had an undeniable connection and I adored the angst in this book- the push and pull between Ronan and Mila is so worth it, especially for the ending. I was truly so invested in their relationship and happiness.
The writing was beautiful as always and I loved the atmospheric descriptions- I almost felt like I was in Russia myself. I loved the depth to the characters, completed with a fun set of side characters. I have a soft spot for dogs and those scenes made me so soft! The side friendships were also so sweet as well as the appearances from Christian, Gianna and Kat.
This review ended up being longer than I meant it to but it's a testament to how much I loved it! I can't wait for the next book in the Made Series and in the meantime, I'll definitely be rereading!
The Darkest Temptation
Book 3 of The Made Series
I don't even no where to start with this book.........
It start with Mila going in search of her father who as far as she's aware is in Moscow, she knows he's finding something from her but isn't sure what, potentially a secret family. Catching a flight to Moscow while her bodyguard is preoccupied having sex she suddenly alone and vulnerable in Moscow.
Without giving anything away as soon as Mila lands in Moscow nothing goes to plan. Then Ronan appears, appearing to be her Knight in shining armor. I fell for Ronan just as Mila did. Then part 2 of the book happens, and Ronan is the opposite of what he was in part 1. At this point I was literally like 'what the F is happening here' I was in shock and maybe denial.
Its safe to say Ronan is my favourite lead male in the Made series, he's dark, mean and covered in tattoos. I shouldn't have liked him but I just couldn't help it. The chemistry between Mila and Ronan is insanely hot, I loved how they both had a temper and how quickly some things escalated between them.
I am massively upset that I've now finished this book and the Made series for now.
What a book to end 2021 !!!!!!!!
